I never expected on this placed since my focus on coming to Surigao is only the Enchanted River. But since we've been staying on the area for two days I've searched for more tourist spot to spend our time. and this is always one of the list if your search on the web.
after enchanted River this is our second stop for the whole day trip in Surigao, Our habal-habal driver is already telling us that this spot is one of their pride and they will bet their lives if we are not going to enjoy the place. Well upon entering the area my jew is really dropping by little by little because the place was very scenic. especially when we saw the biggest falls. we never hesitate taking different angles of pictures and selfies. our picture is like edited wall paper because of a very beautiful view. after that, our guide asked us if we want to go on bamboo rafting, at first we are not decided but since our guide is compulsive we agreed to try it, and we never have to regret it because the experienced was really awesome. I'm giving ten thumbs up for this. but wait there's more, you just have to hike for about three hundred steps to reached the upper portion of the falls, and since is almost afternoon, most of the tourist were heading back when we climb, this was why we are the only tourist left when we reached there.and again a lot of pictures and posed were form and done.
Kudo's to our guide who forced us to explore more extended on our limitations for keep on telling us that if we are willing to try the placed is having more a...
Read moreWe came here on a Monday at 6am and we have the place all to ourselves. 1km Before the falls, there is an arc of the name of the falls where you can take a picture and buy some souvenirs or eat. At the falls, there are also souvenir shops and food. The entrance fee is 50 per person plus other fees. The CR is well maintained. The falls have multiple tier or 3 tiers. The first tier is the largest one where you could raft to get to the falls. It cost us 100 per person and 30 for the required life jacket. We just gave a tip to the people who pulled the rope for us to get to the middle of the falls. It was an amazing experience and definitely a must try. You can swim there too if you want. The 2nd tier is much calmer but to get there you need a tour guide (just give him a tip). Last time I went there, it was not needed. But I guess it is required to have a guide. It took us more or less 100 steps, some of them steep tovget to the 2nd tier. It was the best to get pictures. Just be careful not to slip because of the rocks. The 3rd tier is okay, just a few steps up. Tinuy-an never fails to amaze us and coming back after 6 years was worth it. The way is much smoother now since it is mostly cemented. That's a plus. When coming from Butuan, it took us more than 3 hours...
Read moreToday the wife, family and I went to Tinuy-an Falls, which from Butuan City was about 3 hours one way. It takes so long because on the road conditions, speed limits, and it's not a long straight line line our interstate system. This is an island with mountains. I can say it was worth the trip. The falls are like a step ladder and each level is unique. At one point, I was even able to walk under the falls just beneath a ledge. VERY COOL! Think of this as a mini-mini Niagara Falls. Parking was about 20 PHP, then we rented a cottage for 150 PHP (All Day). Additionally, to walk up the steep steps cost 20PHP per head. But that level (number two from the bottom) is the best level for views of above and below. See the photos below. We recommend this as a great day trip for it is truly a natural beauty. It also breaks up the "Let's go to the Beach" monotony, because you can go to beaches much closer and every day if you choose. Below are a view select photos to show its beauty. But as I always say photos tell a story and you have had to have been there for the...
