I recently visited People’s Park in the Sky in Tagaytay, and it was an unforgettable experience! Despite the foggy weather, which obscured much of the famed panoramic views, the park still offered a unique charm and atmosphere.

Even with the limited visibility, the park's elevated location provided a cool and refreshing climate, a welcome escape from the heat of the lowlands. The misty surroundings added a mystical touch to the landscape, making the visit feel like a journey through the clouds.I explored the unfinished mansion at the park's center, which adds a layer of historical intrigue to the visit. The structure, originally intended to be a presidential mansion, now serves as a reminder of the Philippines' rich history and the stories of its past.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the tranquil ambiance and the sense of being above it all. The park’s gardens, amphitheater, and chapel offered peaceful spots to relax and reflect. Even though the views of Taal Lake and the surrounding provinces were hidden by the fog, the serene environment made the trip worthwhile.

Go to Picnic Grove first before going here. Like many places in Tagaytay its the view and not really the place where the view is from. Parking lets you walk about 400m (see pic below) at a 30-45 degree incline 30php/0.7usd per person over 5 years old (see the Pic of the Tickets, they cut it up to "double" the amount of tickets). Car is 20php/0.4usd, on the way out. The view is amazing, check out weather for humidity to see how far you can see. Probably farthest in Cool Jan and Feb. Take a lot of Pix. I like playing the game - Find those landmarks in google maps later when I get home. Early is best, but we were not early. Check out the Giant (hand sized) Spiders as you climb up the stairs to the Viewing Deck. Down side: Deteriorating Condition (checkout the Wikipedia, it used to be Palace in the Sky back in the Marcos Era) and safety hazards. If you're careful and have an imagination explore it with Caution - see the dark side of neglect and think about what it could have been.

Encountered Vendor Prices Espasol for 100php/2usd for 16s, (this is a throw away, if your going to buy espasol its out of pity and charity not out of the quality of the food) Taho (silken tofu with sweet syrup) for a Tiny 4oz/120ml cup 20php/0.4usd. -40php for a group to be driven up by the Leaking poorly maintained Jeeps that is spilling oil in the parking area.
