I finally got to visit The Ruins in Talisay, Negros Occidental and I have to say, it truly lived up to the hype. This place is more than just a picturesque old mansion; it's a piece of history beautifully preserved and proudly shared with the public. It was closed when went there on a Saturday, it was booked for a wedding event. So, we came back on a Sunday.

The moment I stepped into the grounds, I was struck by how elegant and peaceful the place was. The structure itself, though only the skeletal remains of what was once a grand home, still exudes so much character. The architecture, inspired by Italian design, is a testament to how love and legacy can be cast in concrete.

What made the experience even better was how well-maintained everything was. The gardens were lush and vibrant, making the place feel alive despite the ruins.

The parking is good and the comfort rooms are well maintained, which made the whole visit even more convenient and comfortable.

What made it more special for me personally was seeing how happy my wife was to be back again. It brought back memories for her and added a deeper layer of meaning to the visit. It was a beautiful moment we’ll both treasure.

If you come visit the Ruins, you will learn a story of love and devotion and how the house came to be. It's more than just for the Gram.

Every sunset, the area becomes even more magical as the Ruins starts to be illuminated. Despite its dilapidated state, its still grandeus. The surrounding area of the Ruins creates a melancholic yet romantic ambiance.

For just P150, you can embark on a guided tour that unveils the fascinating history behind these ruins.  It's open from 9 am to 8 pm, but remember, the gates close at 7:30 pm, so plan accordingly.
