The place is actually very wide with lots of pools and our rooms were clean. The only problem is the shower handle in the bathroom would come off. I do hope they check thoroughly what needs to be repaired.
FOOD: My review could have been a 4-star if only they have meals that we can order. We didn't bring any food since we saw on the website that they charge corkage. But we saw a grilling space where some guests were cooking their packed food. We asked for the restaurant menu & all they offered for dinner is Longganisa and Tapa, which obviously the same breakfast you'll be eating the next day. So we drove out of the resort at 10pm very hungry & good heavens there is a small karaoke restaurant just outside the resort gate which serves hot meals til midnight (it also has a 24hr carwash). The resort reasoned out that they ran out of food because it was the holy week. I also asked why they did not have pancakes or fish for breakfast as not all people consume red meat esp. my senior parents who try to avoid high cholesterol food.
LOBBY: They do not allow early check-in most esp. because we came in at 10:30am with no room available and they also do not allow that you leave your luggages with them. We checked in late at 3pm and there were around 5 guests who are still waiting to be checked in. A lot of staff but only one computer in which they struggled for 2-3hrs checking everybody in. Something that they really need to improve on as first impressions last.
POOL: The only amenity that was a saving grace for this vacation is the proliference of several pools. Our room has also a direct access to a pool and they are also clean. We still had fun as a family as we enjoyed the waters. And my 4yo kid got independent on the kiddie pool that she can stay there for long and I can supervise her from a roofed shade.
This resort has potential and they can really improve on staff service and most. especially on food. They also did not inform us if we can visit the Horse Race Track or if there's any horse related activity that we can avail. All in all, 3 stars is the max...
