Our trip to Tingloy Island was simply amazing! We visited just before Holy Week, so there were lots of people around, adding to the excitement.
Masasa Beach has its stunning mix of white sand, pebbles, and colorful corals, all bathed in crystal-clear waters. Snorkeling was a blast – we swam with majestic turtles, vibrant fish, and even spotted starfish and sea urchins! We didn't stop there – we hopped on boats, explored different islands through island hopping, there is available crystal kayaks, and snorkeled some more, free diving is also an option.
Everywhere we looked, there were picture-perfect spots, including the breathtaking Sombrero Island. The locals made our experience even better with their kindness and generosity, and stay was so affordable!
Of course, no trip is perfect. Some goods were a bit pricier due to the distance they had to travel from Mabini where they mostley get their goods there. Saturdays brought power interruptions, and the internet connection wasn't always reliable and connected through Starlink! The houses were simple but cozy, and although the water pressure was a bit low, it didn't dampen our enjoyment. Sure, there's not much nightlife, but who needs it when you have such a paradise to explore?
Tingloy Island might have a few areas that could use a little modernization, but overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Don't forget your sunscreen, hats, and summer outfits – you'll definitely want them for this fantastic adventure!

Read moreMasasa Beach in Tingloy is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The beach is clean, the sea is crystal clear, and the overall atmosphere is very peaceful perfect for anyone looking to unwind. The place is undeniably beautiful, making it an ideal destination for a quick beach getaway.
We stayed at Donald "Mcdo" Homestay, and the experience was pleasant. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and always willing to assist us with anything we needed.
One thing to note is that from the homestay, it's about a 15 to 20-minute walk to the beach. If you're traveling with elderly companions, walking might be a bit tiring for them. But no worries they also have a boat service that can take you straight to the beach, so you don’t have to walk. The boat ride only takes around 5 minutes, which is very convenient.
The only minor downside we experienced is that the air conditioning gets turned off when you leave for the beach, so when you return, you’ll need to wait around 3 to 5 minutes for the room to cool down.
Overall, Masasa Beach is a beautiful and relaxing destination, and with the friendly and helpful staff at Donald "Mcdo" Homestay, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful...
Read moreTruly the best beach in Batangas! I suggest coming during Amihan season to get the best experience of the beach's blue clear calm waters. Many water activities you can do here like island hopping, snorkeling, fish feeding, etc - cost around Php 2,000 all activities including boat service. There is a main beach and lagoons which are walking distance from each other, so you can strategize by getting a homestay somewhere in between :)
Many homestay/transient/cottages here. We spent Php 3,000 for an overnight stay at a transient house with AC room, videoke, toilets, kitchen utensils, gas stoves, etc.. They also have drinking water (purified) 50 per jug. In case of power outage, they have generators in standby.
The place is not mobile data friendly but you can stay connected with Piso wifi which is available there. Oh, there are sari-sari stores also so don't worry if you are short of rice or ice...
