We visited Camotes before the Pandemic but only got the chance to make this review now. Bukilat Cave was in our list.

Bukilat Cave is a large cave with a high ceiling and several natural openings that allow sunlight to shine in. The cave also has stalagmites and stalactites, which have formed over many years.

One of the most popular attractions in Bukilat Cave is the natural pool that forms inside the cave at high tide. The pool is clear and refreshing, and a good place to swim or cool off on a hot day.

To get to Bukilat Cave, you can take a tricycle or motorbike from the town of Poro. The cave is about 15 minutes away from the town center.

Here are some tips when visiting Bukilat Cave: *Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The cave floor can be slippery, so wear shoes with good traction. *Bring a flashlight or headlamp. The cave can be dark, especially in the deeper areas. *Do not litter or damage the stalagmites and stalactites. *Be aware of the tides. The natural pool inside the cave is only accessible at high tide.

Bukilat Cave is a beautiful and unique place that is worth visiting if you are ever in...

I had a very bad experience when visited this place today 11:00 a.m., January 13, 2019, sunday. When we entered the place with my family, I saw the signboard "Parking Area" but when I tried to stop one of the Brgy. Tanod waved his arm signalling me to pass. When I arrived in the actual area near the entrance of the cave, one of the service attendant told me to park my motorcycle into the parking area. When I went back to the parking area the arrogant Brgy. Tanod (I forgot to get his name, he was tall with fair skin complexion) told me "Naka-eskwela ka? ngano nilahos man ka nga nakakita man sa signboard sa Parking Area?". I told him that he waved his arms when I tried to stop but he gave me a plenty of fierce and insulting words.

Is this how they treat local guests? The security officer was so arrogant and discourteous. Is this the way they handle local tourists? I guess seminars on how to deal customers should be conducted by the tourism in-charge in Tudela. It was...

Interesting Small Cave System. One large chamber that lets light through and is easily accessible with a pool you can swim in and further non traversable caves which houses an active Bat Colony. Interesting and easily accessible sight. However as one of the primary tourist destinations on Camotes the access road was lacking. The facilities miss a beat as they could have an active and lucrative cafe at the entrance with minimal investment. Also it must be said - no sign posts to the actual destination aside from an old easily missed one on the rough access road. If this was Thailand the road would be paved, the drive down kept immaculate and you would know how to find it as it would be signposted from the various ports and town centres. Worth seeing but could be so much better and...

We came on a weekday with no wait time. Plenty of free parking, both for cars and motor. Entrance fee is minimal, I believe 75 pesos(we went to 5 different caves that day). The bigger cave of the 5. It has medium size pool swimming area. We did not swim here. The water did not look clean when you came up to it. They told us it was from the stalagmites. You have to walk down into the cave, not too bad. Just remember stairs are uneven. This cave is huge and the skylight (not sure what it’s called lol) is cool. Not my favorite cave but worth a look to see what all the hype is about. We looked around for about 5 minutes, took some pics and left.

Undoubtedly one of the most impressive cave destinations I've ever visited. Bukilat Cave stands out, surpassing other caves in Camotes. The stunning Bukilat rock formations alone makes the cave so amazing. Entrance fee was only around 50 pesos. The water inside was really cold, and we arrived early in the morning when the cave was still dark. However, around 6:30 am, the cave began to brighten thanks to the natural sunlight. In any case, it was an enjoyable experience. Before entering, they provide you with guidelines on what is allowed and what isn't. I highly recommend visiting this cave destination.
