Wonderful concrete step trail to a breathtaking viewpoint.

3003 steps and Linabo Peak are essentially 2 different things. The first 1900 steps have religious importance for Christians with 14 stations depicting the last days of Christ. These are well done painted reliefs with some seating. They also offer a great resting spot while climbing the steps. During Holy Week people will stop and pray at each station. At around 1900 steps you encounter a tiny village that houses a small elementary school. I applaud all residents and students who trek up and down these steps on a regular basis. The village is inhabited with very nice people. You can stop here for drinks, snacks and some rest. I've even done karaoke on a previous visit. Continuing onward will take you on steeper climbs for another 1000 or so steps. I'm not sure if the count is correct but there are so many steps. If you make it to the very top you'll be rewarded with a viewpoint that overlooks Dipolog City, Dapitan City and the beautiful areas between. Be warned there are big cell towers up there as well.

During the walk up you'll encounter many chickens, dogs and cats as well residents, exercisers, and students going up and down. We came across an older man who carried a large container of fuel to the towers! There was also a raven that greeted us that had a tag on one foot.

The climb up is hard. Go as early in the morning as possible, we went at 5 am and lucked out with cooler weather. The way down is faster but not necessarily a lot easier as you'll be using your leg muscles to stop.

Bring plenty of water and some snacks for energy and enjoy the beautiful jungle foliage. They did a good...

The 3003 steps to Linabo Peak was extremely challenging! Instead of the usual trekking and mountain hike, I got to face 3003 steps not counting the looong steps for walking. It was quite difficult compared to the usual trek I do. Along the steps are Stations of the Cross. This is prayer site for Catholics during...

Total: About 2300stairs Entrance Fee: 20p How to go: take a motorcycle in Lacaya Building (Near Greenwich) in Dipolog City proper. Bring one liter water is enough. There are also some stores on the way too. The 14 Jesus statue stations end at stairs 1600. Hiking Round trip 2-2.5 hours. ( I think I am in...

I enjoy the sea of clouds on the top of the mountain. You can see the overlooking view between Dapitan city and Dipolog City. Make sure to prepare your self before climbing the 3003 step because maybe you will give up when you reach at 1500 steps😂 don’t forget to bring water also.
