The best! Some say that yes the place is beautiful but the location and the road there is ugly. I say it is worth it. If you are from Pagadian, the travel time is 2 hours from Pagadian City to Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur, then almost 45 minute ride from Tabina to Tambunan Resort, that depends of course on your mode of transportation. The road there is very difficult, but the local government has already started making the roads concrete. Once there, you may choose either renting a table for 100 pesos or a cottage for 200 pesos. The rate is different though if you choose night swimming, the rate for the cottage is 300 pesos, that covers from 5pm until 5 am the next day. And speaking of night swimming, the place have rooms so you can stay for the night. The rates range from 400 to 600 pesos. The smallest room has 4 single sized beds, which the caretaker says can accommodate 8 people, so 2 persons each bed. The largest one has 5 single beds or good for 10 people. You have to remember though fresh water here is limited, for shower or toilet. You also have to pay 5 pesos if you want to use the toilet and 10 pesos for shower. Not sure if they serve food, but they have a small sari-sari store inside the resort for drinks. So you need to bring your own food. Transportation here is challenging, you are better off getting here with your own vehicle. They do not have WIFI, but the mobile signal here is strong. 3G data will be suffice should you want to go Facebook Live. The sea however is irresistible, you will see, there is a boat for rent, don't know how much it costs though. The only gripe is that the place really needs maintenance, it is not untidy, but they just need to keep the sand free from twigs and seaweeds.

So relaxing especially the breeze that soothes you inside out.. Pero to get there you may want to pass the Lubak-Lubak na dalan(rocky road) Actually, tambunan is a sanctuary so expect a variety of fishes(even clownfish) and other types of sea creatures.. :) Pero overall , it makes the journey worth visiting.. suggestion: try eating swaki(type of sea urchin) it's yummy and it makes your day worthwhile

This is a good resort for persons with beach interests. It has a small island at bay which is accessible for those who can climb it and this separates Tambunan from other beaches. When going here, be sure to check low tides because this beach has shallow waters and is affected by low tides. As of 2020, this beach lacks maintenance so expect some sea residues on its sand.

The road is kinda cliff, bumpy, off road, rocky, and narrow..and ur expensive car might be damage and scratch by grass and leaves..

Tips:

dont bring ur low car here.. bring the off road pick up here.. bring the lift up car..

riding a single motor is a big risk since the road is so remote, bumpy, off road type and if happens ur tire is toasted, ur have a long way to walk..

cellphone 3g, 4g is very low = 2g

around 4pm you should starting packing up and leave the area since the road does not have street light and might accident in a narrow cliff road.

is it worthy for the far traveler? Hmm.. for me, not so...

maybe for those who ride at the latest high car suv and pick up..they might not feel the bumpiness of the road.. so they might say yes..

Theres some other way to travel.. by pump boat..

Now Lets talk about the beach..

The beach is great.. they have few cottages (P500)..

With free water supply.. Cr. , dressing room, shower room, and a place to grill ur food.

No wifi available here..

The place is well clean..

The sand near the beach are nice.. Walk away to the deep and you may experience the sea weeds in ur feet.

Crabs are visible in the beach..

High tide is around 1pm.. 2-4pm are low tide..5pm start to high tide...so plan it well..

The residence here are...

The beach maybe excellent during some other months of the year but NOT this time of amihan. Too windy in the afternoon and throughout the nite. This nature's force, causes debris, seagrassess to be deposited at the beach front. Too unpleasant! The mgt has to initiate cleaning early morning. I observed, only the adjacent resort was doing the cleaning. General proper housekeeping has to be instituted. A lot of garbage, used materials and bottles litter or placed and stocked in some corners and areas i.e. sides of their canteen, and fence. Used lumber at the back of the bldg need to be disposed. Unsolicited recom to improve the resort- transfer the canteen so that it does not block the view of the beachfront from guests in the bldg.

Sorry for the...
