The mesmerizing Malagandis falls also known as “Tagbilat Falls” by locals and the “CURTAIN FALLS OF ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY”. If you have plan visiting this place I suggest, you have to plan ahead.
HERE ARE MY TIPS: *Avoid gloomy weather- It is best view in a fair weather condition, it’s a falls(River connected) prone to flooding. Better come at good weather condition.
*Hop on Early- It is situated in Barangay Malagandis, Municipality of Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay. Which is based on my speedometer count its around 23kms from Titay municipality. Mostly rough-road, so you must hop on early, it took us around 40-50mins on the road from Titay municipality alone to the falls.
*Bring your own food and water- There is no cafeteria or restaurant nearby.
*Bring waterproof phone case or Water resistant phone(Iphone 7s+ and up)- Due to the height of the falls, your phone could easily get wet due to the falls mist. Better be prepared, so you can have perfect shots 📸.
*Two wheels- I suggest 2 wheels than 4wheels due to road accessibility. Much better using dirt bikes or habal2x type of motorcycle. 4 wheels is only accessible up to barangay malagandis only, then you need to hop on habal2x in going to the falls.
This place is best for Adventurous, Nature and trail lover. Worthy of your time and money! 👍👍👍

Read moreSingle motor ride from Titay town to Malagandis barangay is 15-20 minutes, on dry season. You will need to trek for at least 5minutes to get down to the river where the falls is. There is a secured cottage that can be rented for Php200 per day which is good for those who want to spend the night at the mountaintop near the falls. Open cottages are available at the river where the falls is. Spaces are available for pitching tents. There is a long path from the center of the barangay going to the falls that is a good shooting location for scripts that include action like the protagonist or antagonist riding a horse on a long winding path. The falls' surroundings is free from garbage when I visited. This time, only half of the river width has water falling. If you'd like to see the span of the whole river width to be waterfalling, then visit when the rainy season has just started. Best time to visit is anytime of the day when...
