Definitely one of the best hiking spots in Negros Oriental🙌. The trek is short and super easy just 15-20 minutes so it’s perfect even for beginners. If you’re planning to go, I’d say start around 4:30 to 5am. The vibe at dawn is amazing, it’s nice and cool, and you’ll avoid the heat once the sun’s up.
Getting to Najandig Proper from the 7/11 in Zamboanguita takes around 40-50 minutes. Heads-up, though the road’s kinda rough. Only about 70% is cemented, and it turns into a mudfest when it rains. If you’re on a bike, skip the scooters unless it’s a Click or something above 155cc higher clearance is key.
When you get there, you’ll need to sign a logbook. There’s no entrance fee, but they have a donation box, and I’d suggest dropping something in. It’s a great way to help the local community keep this...
Read moreThe place is absolutely breathtaking, truly worth a visit. ❤️🩹 To get there, you’ll need to ride a motorcycle or habal-habal (₱150 per person) for about 30 minutes to reach the drop-off point. From there, it’s a 30-minute hike to the peak.
Visitors are required to log in and out at the detachment, and donations can be placed in their donation box.
The view from the top is incredibly rewarding, it melts away your stress. Plus, there are three friendly dogs waiting at the peak. It’s recommended to bring extra food or treats for them when...
Read moreWe didn’t make it there. We turned back 5km from the peak. A previous post said 70% of the road was paved and 30% was rough. More like 50% of the road isn’t paved and it’s a bone jarring ride over rocks the size of basketballs and softballs with washed out sections dropping a full foot. Cars are not worth trying it in. You’ll need a vehicle with high ground clearance. Scooters riders are taking a big chance. An off road motorcycle is more like it. I Gave this 5 stars so I don’t bring...
