Beautiful scenery in the Park Natural area of Mont Pilat. An easy hike to the Cascade. Rated a 2 out of 5 on difficulty. There are rocky areas of the trail , so use CAUTION! Can easily sprain an ankle. Get out and enjoy this scenic region of France. A.P.

What a beautiful Park ! Just next to Lyon. Beautiful hiking trails, water falls, sunset view point & as well as sunrise view point. Don't forget to taste the local cheese & wine. An excellent get away for the weekend.

Bienvenue dans le parc naturel du pilat. Ici nous pouvons pratiquer différentes activités au fil des saisons. Quand il fait beau nous pouvons faire du vélo, des balades, de l'escalade,... Quand il neige on peut y faire du ski de fond, des raquettes. On y retrouve aussi des paysages magnifiques entre prairies, barrages, lacs, rivières et montagne mais aussi énormément de forêts et de végétations. Dans nos forêts, il y a de jolis animaux que l'on peut apercevoir lors de balades, alors ouvrez en grand vos yeux. De belles balades dans la nature et de belles rencontres. On vous y attends avec impatience 😊

Fantastic natural park in the middle of France. Lots great activities all around the year! Check out the pretty view lately after a snowy day. You can even see the Mont Blanc very well. Enjoy!

Description
Pilat Regional Natural Park is a protected area of mountainous countryside in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. The park spans the departments of Loire and Rhône, and covers a total area of 65,000 hectares. The mountain terrain ranges from 140 metres to 1,432 metres in elevation.
