Nice, well kept and not too small castle to for a short visit. We needed somewhere to stop for a break on a road trip to the mountains in the south and found this: A nice castle on a hill a short walk from the car park (I think the only access is through a woodland path so many not great if someone has mobility issues). You can view many of the rooms and levels in the castle and go all the way to the top of the keep which has a viewing platform with amazing views. There's a museum and cafe there too. Would be good to have the museum infomation signs in English too, but some of the other signs around the castle did have English translations. My young son loved it and so did the rest of the family, a great...

Classic medieval castle on an easily defendable hilltop. Well restored with good documentation on the various occupants over the centuries. There are a few recovered artifacts on display. The highlight is to go to the top of the tower for a stunning view of the countryside. On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Carpathians. Some of the information is also in English. For the rest, you need to use Google Lens to translate. You do need to hike up a hill to get to the castle, so plan for...

Let’s just say... hiding among centuries-old stone walls wasn’t exactly easy 😅. But the climb was worth every step—the panoramic view from the top? Absolutely breathtaking. You can see all the way to the Beskid Mountains on a clear day 🌄. If you're into history, mystery, and a bit of cardio, this...
