On August 8th, my first visit to Chocholowskie Termy turned into a nightmare. My husband and I had bought tickets for full access, each ticket - 190zl. We headed straight to the sauna area to sunbathe on the terrace loungers. Shockingly, there were no signs warning us of any potential dangers, and within minutes of lying down on one of the loungers, I was painfully stung by a wasp in my stomach.
It was a terrifying surprise. I had simply been lying still with my eyes closed, enjoying the sun, when I was attacked. Looking around in panic thereafter, I noticed dozens of enraged wasps flying nearby. There were two homemade wasp traps placed under a tree between the loungers, poorly made from plastic bottles, which seemed to be completely ineffective as many wasps were still active and dangerous.
This incident was particularly severe as I am allergic to wasp stings and usually carry antihistamines and steroids with me, but I left them in my car not anticipating a need at the spa. The health facilities at Chocholowskie Termy were abysmally inadequate; they lacked a real first aid kit and had no professional medical staff on site. The only assistance offered by the lifeguard was a soluble diet supplement tablet with vitamin D, calcium carbonate, and herbs, which was absurd and inadequate for my allergic reaction.
My condition worsened, leading my husband to rush to our car for my emergency medication. Let me stress the dangerous lack of preparedness for such incidents: no professional medical personnel and insufficient first-aid resources. If I had suffered an anaphylactic shock, the situation could have been life-threatening.
I wasn’t able to use any saunas or warm pools after the incident. The response from the staff was underwhelming; they provided ice in a rubber glove and nothing more. No real action was taken to address the presence of wasps or to improve the situation.
Moreover, the staff prohibited taking phones to take pictures of the homemade traps on the terrace (which once again confirms, everyone is aware of the problem, yet no steps are taken to solve it).
We paid 190 zl per person, and for such a pricey ticket, it is unacceptable that proper wasp traps are not installed. Management and sauna zone managers need to take immediate action to ensure guest safety instead of assuming risks until a fatal incident occurs.
There were no apologies or compensation, and the staff seemed accustomed to this issue, which suggests a recurring problem.
Visit at your own risk, especially if you have allergies. This was far from the relaxing day we anticipated.

These baths left me confused. They are well built and well organised but left me wondering whether it was really worth it.
I liked it BUT compared to the size of this place, investment and number of services offered I can surely say that it is best to avoid it and seek separate services in different locations instead in this One Stop Shop place.
Let me explain -
01. Accessibility is good. Well-built road network, plenty of parking, and very easy to locate.
02. This place is designed for Polish tourism in mind. Although English is utilised throughout the premises, there was no attempt to help us, foreign tourists, to understand the rules and regulations, walk us around, and explain what we need to do. As a result we failed to relax and enjoy the place due to the many rules that we had no clue about. Adding to that, personnel was not really understanding.
03. Sauna regulations are either naked or naked in towel. Genitalias all over the place with some older ages completely living their nudist dream. Although its understandable in some degree i think its not the healthiest strategy. Saunas rooms are good and clean. They do not have ice saunas nor cave saunas but there are enough for most preferences including natural salt room.
04. Massage services are confusing. The actual massage professionals are pretty good but the process is very poor. Just lead you to the room, do the massage, finish, close the door and disappear. There was no shower nearby to get the oil off my body and nobody to stay around till they make sure you are feeling good enough to go down the stairs. I do not see real value here.
05. Ground floor pools are massively overcrowded with all adults, families, and children stacked together in a big water festival mess. If this is what you seek, then you found your place. I strongly advise separating adults and couples from family and children but I doubt anyone is listening.
Conclusion -
This is a place with an Aquapark culture trying to offer extra services which will feel unrefined and mass produced. If you are a foreign tourist, I strongly advise researching further before visiting this place.

Indulging in the thermal baths amidst a snowy wonderland was an enchanting and rejuvenating experience. The juxtaposition of the warm, soothing waters against the crisp, snowy surroundings created a magical ambiance, offering a unique and unforgettable escape.
Immersing myself in the thermal pools, surrounded by snow-laden landscapes, was nothing short of a therapeutic journey. The contrast of the cold air against the enveloping warmth of the baths heightened the sensory experience, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
The facility's design seamlessly integrated with the natural beauty of the snowy surroundings, providing breathtaking views that added to the overall charm. The outdoor pools, accompanied by steam rising into the cold air, created a picture-perfect scene that felt like a scene from a winter fairy tale.
The attention to detail in the amenities and services ensured a luxurious experience. From heated relaxation areas to attentive staff, every element contributed to a sense of comfort and well-being. The thermal baths, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, transformed into a haven of relaxation and bliss.
In conclusion, experiencing thermal baths in the midst of a snowy landscape is a sublime escape from the ordinary. It's not just a spa day; it's a harmonious blend of nature's beauty and therapeutic indulgence, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a truly enchanting and revitalizing winter retreat.

Very disappointed!!! We visited during long June weekend break and the place had nothing to do with relaxation time. There is no control over the number of people allowed to come in. It was a horrible experience, no way of using the slides and some of the baths, unless you want to wait in the long queue. In some of the pools you constantly touch other people if you want to just pass by. The saunas are nice and that's the only thing we managed to enjoy a little, but only because we went right away at 10:00. When my parents entered at 11:00, it was already a disaster there as well. We had an open ticket for 4h, stayed for 3h just because of our toddler that was trying to have some fun. That was also more a stress than enjoyment for us, as there were so many kids and parents, it was difficult to keep an eye on the children. I have made a complaint right away with the management, via e-mail, before posting this review, but unfortunately was only offered a 15% discount (or voucher for pools for one person at later stage) for next visit, when I clearly stated that since we are from far, we are not planning to re-visit any time soon (or at all). We paid for tickets for 5 people and unfortunately didn't enjoy the experience at all, complete waste of money. Also, on the entrance there is a huge confusion on where are the lines to the cashiers, where to go with online tickets, honestly, not recommending this place at all!

We booked an evening experience via Get Your Guide which included a hotel pickup. We were kept informed via WhatsApp by the event organisers about the pickup details etc. Upon pickup, we found out that the “bus” mentioned was actually just a taxi! Added bonus on this occasion nobody else had booked so it was a private journey. Journey took 2 hours+ from Krakow city centre.
Our trip was the 3hr package and included a locker within the price per person. Everything is done through a wrist band, this includes opening your locker & paying for drinks at the poolside bar.
These is loads of indoor pools including heated pools and jacuzzis. There is multiple large outdoor pools which were also heated, and have a great few of the surrounding mountains. There is also some water slides which we enjoyed too.
Overall rules seem very relaxed which was nice. Lifeguards are happy for you to wear glasses in the pool or goggles and didn’t have an issue with jewellery either. We were able to take our phone in the pool to capture pictures and again nobody had a problem with this.
We didn’t realise when booking, but you can also pay extra for spa treatments and there’s also some food facilities.
Overall the whole experience was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed the whole thing!

Easy to reach by public bus. We arrived around 2pm so at this point it wasn't very crowded. The receptionist was friendly and checked us in, explained the basics to us etc.
We had bought a full ticket that included access to all areas. We went up first to the 2nd floor to hire our towels. As we had access to the sanuarium, we decided to go there first. We didn't realise that you had to be nude, the lady didn't inform us as we went in, so we went to look what was on offer. A man came right up to my face and started speaking in Polish, I said I didn't speak Polish but he continued to speak in my face. I had to say again I only spoke English before he spoke to me saying no swimming costumes were allowed. He wasn't pleasant about it, and we felt uncomfortable so we decided to leave and enjoy the other parts. On the way out to the bridge back across to the main stairs, a further 2 people approached us saying we couldn't wear swimming costumes, even though we were clearly on our way out the door (it's a small space).
Went back to enjoy the various outdoor pools, Jacuzzis, indoor pools, and had a drink at the swim up bar. By 3.30pm it was getting very crowded. When we left, again not very friendly, just wanted you to pay your bill and leave.
