Archaeological Museum in Biskupin — Attraction in gmina Gąsawa

We visited Biskupin in July 2022 and were very impressed. This is a true European heritage place dating back to 8th century BC beautifully reconstructed and with the great historical narratives and background explanations ..... in Polish. The lack of guide tours in any other language is Biskupin's only drawback. I am Polish so having all fascinating narratives and background data in Polish was truly a treat however, my only- English-speaking husband ( along with all other visitors from other countries ) was missing a lot of fascinating historical data this place has to offer. Being that Biskupin dates back 2700 years this is a heritage treasure to many people in Europe ( and some in US ) so it would be fantastic if the Biskupin would issue some guide books in English to help all non-Polish speakers truly enjoy and appreciate the place . Biskupin is sometimes called "Polish Pompeii". It is partially reconstructed settlement of Lusatian culture (700 bCh, late Bronze, early Iron period). Reconstruction base on excavations which started in pre-war time. Complex contains also reconstructed village which was built about 1000 years ago, neolithic "long houses" There is also museum with exhibition presenting life and artifacts from the time when Biskupin was big settlement. In the beginning of May and at the end of September Museum organises archaeological festivals, where visitors can watch craftspeople at work, hear the medieval music, learn old dances, and enjoy time traveling.
