This is real wonderland where angels win demons. First we walked under the fog and rain but than angels won and opened to us amazing views on mountains. I'm so much happy to fall in love with Biezchady. Not so high mountains but magically beautiful. Here we climbed Tarnica mountain the highest peak of Biezchady (1346 m) and Polonyna Wetlinska( 1255 m). Polonyna it's an open space without forest on the top of mountain usually in Carpaty regions. So Biezchady are rich of Polonyny, there is also Polonyna Carynska, Bukovska. On polonyna Wetlinska there is nice place with Hatka Puhatka. First you climb up but then you just walk on top of polonyna and enjoy the views. Bieszczady is national park so it's staying there with a tent is not allowed ( only in special camping places). The best way is to book room in one of the hotels or guest houses and go for a hiking. There are really too many wild animals, we saw hare and fox. Also there should be wolf, bear, lynx, bison( better to not meet them :). Lots of authentic wooden churches are around. Ukraine is close, there is boarder which may be opened,it's possible to make short...
Read moreBeautiful nature site, amazing views from every summit in the Park, nice place to rest. The Bieszczady National Park itself is worth recommendation, however it's hugely overpriced. Entry fee plus car park fee is similar to Western Europe National Parks as well as Australian National Parks (Comme on it's Poland). Area where The BNP is located has poor infrastructure, damaged bridges, massive number of people walk along the roads for kilometres jeopardize themselves trying to get to bus station or entry to The BNP. Not many car parks in the area. In summary Area and The BNP have touristic potential, but a lot of work needs to be done to make this place tourist friendly. Good place for students and not much...
