The park is divided in two parts. One is about the evolution of humans, the other is about dinosaurs. The one about the evolution of humans is so so. When you enter you are given an audioguide with headphones and 3D-glasses. If your Polish isn't up to scratch, be sure to ask the staff to change it into German, English, or Czech cause you won't be able to do it yourself and you'll miss all the info. Then you are led into a large room, where no-one really knows what it is all about.
From there you are asked to go into a kind of cinema where they play a movie about human evolution. The 3D-effects are a bit dated. After the film you go into a maze of corridors with a couple of scenes depicting different times of the evolution.
At the end, there's another movie about the use and importance of fire from early times to now, with the same dated 3D-effects.
I guess language-wise, they had to make a compromise between kids and adults. Unfortunately, this results in something that nobody can really appreciate. Kids soon get bored, cause they don't understand half of what's going on, adults soon switch off cause it's just too simple.
Then off to the Dino-Park; follow the dino footprints (if you think they are arrows, you will do the tour in reverse) on the ground and read all about the different types of dinosaurs, where, when, and how they lived, what they are, where they found fossils, etc.
Interesting fact is that archeologists found fossils quite nearby (even on site). There are live-sized replicas which gives you a nice perspective.
Personally, I found this Dino-Park more interesting, maybe cause I already know quite a lot about human evolution and I didn't know that many details about these early animals. Fortunately it's rather scientific and not sensational.
I saw a couple of rides in the distance, but since I am not interested in those, I can't tell you much about them.
All in all, it is rather interesting,...
Read moreIt wasn't really what my kids were expecting. My 11 year old wanted to ride more dinosaurs. My 8 year old wanted to interact with the dinos and not just look at them. The rides weren't even dinosaur themed. Food was ok. We ate outside where wasps were pretty much swarming us half the time. The 4d attractions were neat, not too much for those of us who tend to get queasy. We were there for the night on a Sunday, and once the park closed, we had a hard time finding a place to eat. Only a pizza place was open past 8, and the wait for delivery was an hour and a half at that point. Our over night accommodations were in the human evolution building. The common areas were very dark, and the entire decor was futuristic, blocky and uninviting. We stayed in the bronchiasaurus room, which housed 16 bunk beds and a private rest room with 2 each: sons, toilets, showers. There was a hair dryer and body wash/shampoo in the showers. Towels were provided. The windows all had screens to keep bugs out, which is rare here. The staff were accommodating with breakfast. We had to be on the road before their normal breakfast time started, so they prepared us sandwiches and packed them in a large bag and stored them for us in the common area kitchenette. A unique feature was the active dig site and being able to see authentic fossils. We did manage to get lost trying to find the dinos as we didn't expect the huge play ground and all the rides. There's also a beach on a lake. Lots of activities available. My kids enjoyed the giant trampoline. There's also an upside down house diagonal from the human evolution building you can go into for a little extra (36 pln for a family of 2 adults & 2 kids). We didn't use it, but there's ample camp...
Read moreThis place is situated about 115kms from Krasiejów and 180kms from Kraków. These are the two major cities close by. This park was constructed because original remains and fossils of dinosaurs were found in this place and hence they turned this place into a park. It's worth visiting as you would be able to experience dinosaur model and 3d figures in the true size ratio along with the detailed description of their existence. The journey starts with a train ride where they give a brief explanation of how universe and Earth were created and how life evolved on Earth. It's a nice experience. They offer 5D cinema and oceanarium which is worth seeing. They also have fun rides like giant wheel and pirate ship which you can ride as many times you feel like. You can go for boating and also sit by the side of the pond over the sand and relax in the sun. They have a nice big playground for kids and a Tarzan park, kids can have a good time there. Everything is included in the ticket price. There are restaurants as well where you can buy food at affordable rates. Live music. There is good amount of parking place and few shops where you can buy toys related to prehistoric creatures. All in all, a place worth visiting with your kids for a nice...
