Ojcowski National Park in Poland is an absolute gem that captivated my heart and exceeded all of my expectations. Nestled in the midst of stunning natural beauty, this park offers a truly exceptional experience that should not be missed.

The first thing that struck me about Ojcowski National Park was its sheer beauty. The park is a veritable paradise, with its lush greenery, towering cliffs, enchanting caves, and crystal-clear streams. Each step I took immersed me further into a world untouched by time, filled with breathtaking landscapes that seemed straight out of a fairy tale.

One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the magnificent limestone formations that dot the park. The towering cliffs and rock formations create a dramatic backdrop, leaving me in awe of the forces of nature. The park's unique caves, such as the Łokietek Cave and the Ciemna Cave, offered a thrilling adventure, taking me on an underground journey through chambers adorned with stunning stalactites and stalagmites.

The park's diverse flora and fauna added another layer of wonder to my experience. From vibrant wildflowers blooming along the trails to the tranquil beauty of the Prądnik River, the park's natural elements were a sight to behold. The abundance of wildlife, including rare bird species, added an element of excitement to my exploration and made it clear why the park is such a vital conservation area.

What truly impressed me about Ojcowski National Park was its commitment to preserving its natural wonders. The park's management has implemented various initiatives to protect its biodiversity and ensure a sustainable future. The educational programs and guided tours provided valuable insights into the ecological significance of the park, fostering a deeper appreciation for its conservation efforts.

Additionally, the park offers an array of recreational activities for visitors. Whether it's hiking the numerous trails, cycling through picturesque landscapes, or simply enjoying a leisurely picnic amidst nature, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The park's well-maintained infrastructure, including well-marked trails and informative signage, made it easy to navigate and allowed me to make the most of my time there.

Lastly, the park's visitor facilities, including the information center and amenities, were excellent. The staff members were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, providing invaluable assistance and ensuring a seamless experience. The availability of educational materials and exhibits allowed me to delve deeper into the park's history, geology, and ecology, further enriching my visit.

In conclusion, Ojcowski National Park in Poland is an absolute treasure, a true haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. With its stunning landscapes, unique geological formations, diverse wildlife, and commitment to conservation, the park offers an exceptional experience that is bound to leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend a visit to Ojcowski National Park for an unforgettable journey into the...

Not sure where to start here, so let's go with the "basics" that being: any state sponsored park should have ORGANIZATION, which this place has NONE of!!!

There are colour coded trails that are supposed to lead you to some of the sights...umm, yup, but good luck finding them! It literally takes you starting down a path to figure out if you actually are on the right path. The maps posted around are off scale, not a single one had a N-orth indicator so the only way to match these up to your cell phone map is through pure trial-n-error, yey!

Ok, not done yet, heck not even started LOL. If you picked up an eSIM, like we did with Maya Mobile, well, you will find it is completely useless through the whole park. If you got here from Kraków with Uber, well, good luck getting one to take you back....tried three separate rides, each one dropped us after 20-25 mins of waiting!

There is a Saturday and Sunday bus that runs here, but otherwise you beat rent a car, or you are going to be stuck, pretty much like we did.

The lack of that ORGANIZATION was for pure tourists like us a major problem.

BTW: icing on the cake...there are no English, or other foreign language tours or guides (like what you must have for the visit to the Łokietek Cave), so if you hauled your butt up there you will be disappointed...hell, even the lady at the both selling tickets won't tell you that...you have to ask (afterwards), and this is coming from a guy that is fully...

Unfortunately a big let down and that’s a shame. I had high hopes to come here. I went in the off season and literally everything was closed, no shops, no restaurants, no tourist information centres. The informations boards are all in Polish and for a place next to a big destination like Krakow that is unacceptable. The nature there is nice but without the additional things it isn’t worth it. If you do go during the off season make sure you take your own food and your own transport or book transport back in advance because I nearly got stranded after dark! Also take a torch (because the lighting there is poor, even when there are lights) and warm clothes. There is no local transport whatsoever and barely any locals even though there are houses and shops (that were closed). The churches and visitor attractions were all closed. Even the phone reception was extremely poor I had to walk around for over an hour to get it which I eventually did on a specific spot in a car park, which allowed me to get an Uber back to Krakow, otherwise I would’ve been stranded. No one else bothered to check if I was ok even though I was walking round in circles everywhere. I was about to call the emergency number because it got dark and cold. Ultimately if you go here it’s for the nature, but allow yourself time because between each part it’s a big distance, for example between Ojcow and the castle on the hill it’s 8km etc. You will walk for long distances...

Ojców National Park is like a slice of heaven — as if taken straight out of a fairytale! The combination of nature and architecture is unmatchable: enchanting castles (one called Ojców, and the second Pieskowa Skała) sit perched atop majestic limestone cliffs, overlooking flower-filled meadows, babbling brooks, and cozy cottages; Beautiful rustic villas and churches lay tucked away amidst lush foliage, where song birds build their nests and fill the air with beautiful chirping; Hundreds of caves and odd rock formations grace the valley, and imbue it with a supernatural charm. Ojców National Park, as well as the breathtaking limestone valleys (e.g. Dolina Kobylańska and Dolina Będkowska) and verdant forests of the Krakowska-Częstochowska Jurassic highlands, should be visited by any tourist looking for nature and history. The Jurassic highlands are especially spectacular because they are filled with 25 medieval castles (called the “Eagle’s Nest Trail”) which are all beautifully incorporated into the landscape: Most are hewed out of the massive limestone cliffs scattered amidst the forested hillsides and rolling grasslands. Rent a bike, buy some fresh Polish bread, pickles, smoked sausage, and candy, and make Ojców into a day trip! You won’t regret it. If you’re traveling to Ojców from Kraków, take a mini-bus operated by “Unibus” from the Kraków Train Station, or from a stop called “Rondo-Ofiar Katynia” in Bronowice Enjoy!

This a really nice park and definitely worth a visit. The easiest way to get there is by car, but if you don't have the luxury of that there is always public transport. I used the 210 busline and got off at czajowice. From there it's about a 10-15 min to the park. The park offers some nice things such as caves and some small remains of a castle (just the gate house). It has also a nice selection of restaurants at different places along the main road going through the park. All the (information) signs in the park are in almost exclusively in Polish. However the signs indicating walking routes are easy to follow. Do keep in mind that the extra activities (such as the caves) all cost money and they don't accept card, only cash. It's not that expensive though (one of the caves was 8 zloty and the gatehouse was 3 zloty). Also have some extra cash for the public transport, not all machines on the trams and busses accept card. The easiest thing would be to buy the tickets before you go (two 60-minutes tickets should be enough to go back and forth, these are five zloty each).

Beautiful national park about 30 minutes drive from Krakow. We got an uber our there but was unable to get one back. They have a bus service which we used to get back but the schedule is a bit hit or miss, and when it finally turned up it was just a man in a long wheel based van with a few seats. It was insanely cheap and did get us back home but did look a little suspect at first. The park itself is huge with loads of walking trails. We found maps dotted about but they were hard to read, we do a lot of hiking so have plenty of experience reading maps. As it’s further out of Krakow the English levels spoken are not great so it’s harder to communicate if you don’t speak Polish. They promote wild bison as a reason to visit but we didn’t see any (maybe the time of year). All in all a cool place but a lot of effort to get too and from and not really anything you wouldn’t see in other national parks.
