Nestled in the mystical Las Bronaczowa, this 24-hectare nature reserve is a living memory of the ancient Carpathian Forest.

I wandered through in early July 2025, and it felt like stepping into a forgotten fairytale. Towering silver firs and mighty beeches form a cathedral of green, while the forest floor is sprinkled with magical flora—lily of the golden top, giant horsetail, and even wolf’s bane..

A single beech tree here can produce enough oxygen for 14 people daily. And if you rub the fir needles, they smell like oranges!

It’s quiet. Not just peaceful—enchanted. Birds like the black woodpecker and tawny owl call from above, and if you’re lucky, you might spot a deer or salamander slipping through the underbrush..
