Polańczyk Lookout Point — Attraction in gmina Solina

Warning! Using Google Maps to "Punkt Widokowy Polańczyk" as your navigation software is discouraged if you drive by car!

The viewpoint: "Punkt Widokowy Polańczyk" lies on top of the hill next to the sleeping accomodation. Google Maps might direct you to a sleep accomodation: "Widokowe Wzgórze" which is a private property. Entry is permitted only for guests that sleep in these accomodations. I made the mistake of using Google Maps as my navigation software. So Google Maps took me to the sleeping accomodation, thus I accidentally entered the private property.

The owner told me and my children to leave the property in a very unfriendly way. She also threatened to call the police. I fully understand that entering a private property without invitation is bad, but if you own a sleeping accomodation and treat tourist as trespasser then you must be crazy.

If you want to see the viewpoint then park the car at the bottom of the hill near the bus stop and roundabout. Then walk your way to the viewpoint.

It's a bit much to call this place an attraction. You walk up to an asphalted little point where the vistas are expected to be wondrous. Thankfully the walk up isn't that long or I'd be doubly disappointed with the results. When you get there you see a nice view, granted. However, a view like that is very common in these parts so I expected more. Also if you like to take pictures, you will be doubly disappointed because there is a rusted out fence between you and the view and you have to be careful to omit it from your pictures. Punkt widokowy dostępny dla wszystkich. Krótkie niezbyt strome, świeżo wyasfaltowane podejście. Bez problemu wejdzie tam dziecko, osoba starsza czy niepełnosprawna. Na punkcie jest altana, ławeczki i mini siłownia polowa. Są też ogólnodostępne, bezpłatne lunety ale słabo przez nie coś widać. Polecam zabranie własnej lornetki. Ze szczytu widać połoniny, Smerek, Tarnicę oraz jezioro Solińskie. U podnóża jest duży parking oraz turystyczny punkt informacyjny z pamiątkami. Z tego miejsca do szczytu jest tylko około 100 metrów.
