Very disappointing! I am Chinese, travel alone, and have no private car in Poland. The host of the castle promised to pick me up at a bus stop to his castle, but he didn’t. When I arrived at the bus stop, Stary Dzierzgon, I called the host of the castle at Przezmark, and he told me he would come and drive me to the castle. I waited there for 1.5 hours, and he still didn’t come, so I had to go back with the last bus of the day! I spent 20 zloty on the bus and four hours on the way! I gave up my plan to visit Torun and decided to visit there! But what had he done to me? Just one day before I went there, I had written to his son to say that I was going to the castle the next morning, and his son told me that the host is always in the castle, and he would pick me up at Stary Dzierzgon. After four hours I left Stary Dzierzgon, his son gave me the reason why he didn’t come to pick me up: he’s at his sister’s, he told you to wait, you should have waited. Wait for what? After 1.5 hours he still didn’t come, god knows whether he actually would come or not, and if he really had come to pick me up, he should find that I had already left and started to look for me. But after four hours, he didn’t look for me, so he actually didn’t want to pick me up. If I am not welcomed to the castle, just say it before I actually went there, ok? Nad Jeziorem Motławą Wielką znajdują się ruiny zamku krzyżackiego, z którego ostała się niemal jedynie wieża zamku niskiego. Łatwo go znaleźć, samochód można zaparkować na małym terenie zielonym przed wejściem, wchodzi się jedynie troszkę pod górę. Właściciele udostępniają teren do zwiedzania [najlepiej umówić się telefonicznie i uprzedzić o planowanej wizycie]. Pan Ryszard jest bardzo miłym, uprzejmym człowiekiem. Jako prawdziwy pasjonat z chęcią oprowadza przyjezdnych po wieży, opowiadając wiele o historii zamku i okolic. Na kolejnych piętrach wieży znajdują się zbierane przez lata eksponaty z Polski i z zagranicy oraz obrazy żony Pana Ryszarda. Z góry ładny widok na jezioro i okolicę. Właściciele zamku nie dali przepaść historii tego miejsca, dużym własnym nakładem finansowym i staraniami odtworzyli klimat zabytkowego miejsca, zachowując je dla przyszłych pokoleń. Sterty butelek i śmieci zastąpiły ładny ogród i eksponaty znajdujące się w wieży. Okresowo na terenie dawnego zamku, prowadzone są wykopaliska archeologiczne. Zamek uzyskał 6 miejsce w plebiscycie „Perła w Koronie województwa pomorskiego”. Wejście nie jest płatne, odwiedzający mogą zostawić datek według uznania (skarbonka znajduje się naprzeciw domu). Uważam, że warto wspomóc Pana Ryszarda w kontynuacji jego marzenia, zwłaszcza że zarówno takich miejsc, jak i takich właścicieli...

Beautifully restored tower and a small garden. The place is privately owned, but owners are a friendly old couple, and the man gave us a professional tour. He told us about the castle's history and how they are working towards restoring it as much as possible, as well as telling us about region's history. There are no tickets or anything else you need to get before a visit, but there's a tip box near the entrance. Definetely...
