Charming little port with history, cycling routes, and plenty of seaside charm

Port Morski in Mrzeżyno is a lovely spot if you’re exploring the Polish Baltic coast. Located at the mouth of the Rega River, it combines the feel of a traditional fishing harbor with a modern marina. You’ll find fishing boats, small yachts, and tourist vessels offering short cruises in the summer. The port area has been renovated in recent years, making it pleasant for walks, with a mix of cafés, fish restaurants, and small shops selling fresh seafood.

What to do:

Take a stroll along the quayside and watch the fishermen at work.

Hop on a short boat trip for a taste of the Baltic from the water.

Try local smoked fish – it’s fresh and sold right at the harbor.

Relax in one of the nearby cafés or grab some ice cream with a sea view.

Cycling and walking routes: One of the highlights of Mrzeżyno is its access to excellent bike paths. The EuroVelo 10 / R-10 coastal cycling route passes through the town, connecting it with Kołobrzeg (about 15 km away) via a scenic forest and seaside trail. The ride is easy and family-friendly, taking around an hour, and offers beautiful views of the dunes and the Baltic coastline. You can also cycle south along the Rega River for a quieter, nature-filled route.

Nearby attractions:

The wide sandy beach of Mrzeżyno, just a few steps from the port, is perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

A short ride away, Kołobrzeg offers a lighthouse, pier, and spa town atmosphere.

For families, the surrounding forests are great for nature walks and spotting wildlife.

Overall: If you’re in the area, Port Morski Mrzeżyno is well worth a visit. It’s small but full of character, perfect for a short stop on a bike tour, a seafood lunch, or an evening walk by the water. The atmosphere is relaxed, the scenery is charming, and the cycling opportunities make it especially attractive for...

really nice place if you want to go to a boat excursion. There is actually plenty of them so your choice might get a little bit complicated. However i decided to go on a trip with the fast boat which by the way was one of the best sea experiences i’ve ever had. Port is okay in its own way, it’s just normal port for the small and big ships. Moreover there are also a lot of different shops that have really nice prizes. I was even able to find a cool t shirt for 2 euro. So in Conclusion nice port with some nice...

A small port which is both a hub for tourists going to the beach or to cafes and fish fryer restaurants along it's side, as well as for fishing ships bringing in their catch, with a local cruise boat going out once in a while. The area is reasonably clean and well maintained. During certain times in summer it may get quite busy in Eastern part. The Western part of the port on other bank of Rega river is mostly a parking...
