Here are my points for the place: View: The architecture of the castle is amazing! my favourite view will be at night especially the courtyard of the castle that is dimly light up by the moonlight which added mysterious mood to the whole place. Amazing! Hotel stay: I will not recommend this place for a long stay. The most ideal stay will be 2-3 days Bed comfort: Ok - sufficiently comfortable Room housekeeping: the hotel management has this weird system whereby they will only clean the room after 5 days of stay. Which means that if you ran out of soap for example, you need to wait after 5 days to get the refill. this is what happen to us and when we ask from the staff at the reception, she do not even know where the soap is and have no access to it. We ended up buying our own soap for the whole 12 days stay there. Clean towels or bedsheets, if asked to be replaced less than 5 days, need to be paid separately. The windowsill was dusty and the sofa in our room was pretty dirty too Sound-proof room: NONE! we basically could hear everything from the other room right in our room. We could even tell when our neighbor was snoring when they are asleep! You could also hear everything that has been going on at the corridor (footsteps, neighbor locking and unlocking their door, etc.) Staff: Generally all other staff were nice to us except for one particular male staff who is a bit older. He usually the one in charge of the place at night. We found him to be a bit harsh and rude. This happens to us several times, first when my mother in law came to send us some food where he speak very harshly to her, secondly when I went to pick the food up at the reception counter where he was shouting just because he taught I am just the guest visiting the place but once he knew I was staying there, he stopped! So weird!
The place is in dire need of improvement in their services to be considered the same level as the standard hotel. They do have very high potential and if they work a bit on these aspect, they could easily be the hidden gem...

I am very happy we chose Zamek Olesnicki. Considering that there is not that much funding provided by the Polish institutions, the people who work there do their best to renovate I upkeep the castle. Everything in the palace except for the furniture is from the time the palace and the castle were build. If you want to see something original, I would highly recommend you visit the place and if you want to feel like a princess or prince spend the night or two in palace. I loved the chamber - apartment since it was very roomy and had an antique character. I think even the glass in the windows was from the time the...
Read moreBeautiful castle in the city center with huge history behind those walls. They have an audio guide but no English option. The castle is very big and the tour takes us through many rooms. I would like to see more elements of the old days of the castle before the 19th century, but unfortunately there aren't as many as I was hoping for. It is not wheelchair accessible and people with walking difficulties will find the visit a bit hard in some places. Anyway, I totally recommend a visit if you are...
