The Anna and Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz Museum in Stawisko is a truly unique and atmospheric place. Visiting it feels like stepping into a time capsule — as if the hosts have just stepped out for a moment and will return any second. The house is filled with mementos and memories from a bygone era, creating a vivid sense of history and intimacy.

This villa, once home to the renowned writer Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and his wife Anna, holds numerous personal items: photographs, letters, books, paintings, and even the writer’s collection of hats. Many of these artifacts belonged not only to the couple but also to Anna’s father, Stanisław Wilhelm Lilpop. Each room tells a different story and reflects the character of its former inhabitants and their distinguished guests.

The house is surrounded by a large park, perfect for a relaxing walk after immersing yourself in the literary and historical treasures indoors. It’s a peaceful and charming setting that complements the museum experience beautifully.

The facilities are well-maintained, with restrooms conveniently located in the villa’s basement. The museum is a great destination for a quiet day out with the family or a reflective solo visit.

Highly recommended for fans of Polish literature, history enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates places with...
