Absolutely spectacular and worth a visit. It's so grandiose and lavish. Built with no expenses spared, up to the highest standards to satisfy the taste of the most noble of Polish society. Yes, today is all in ruin, just a skeleton of once majestic creation, but is still awe-inspiring, vast and nicely kept. The legend about a fish tank being placed instead of the ceiling above their studies shows you the scale of this castle! You can easily spend a good few hours here, with plenty of souvenir stalls just on the other side of the road. Thera are 4 paths leading you throughout different levels, starting with the basement where the stables with marble trough used to be and be aware, you can choose a pathe requiring squatting quite low! Na Zamek Krzyżtopór w Ujeździe przyjechaliśmy w trakcie długiego weekendu majowego, licząc się z bardzo dużą liczbą turystów. Na miejscu okazało się, że jednak wcale nie było tragicznie, a nawet wręcz odwrotnie. Na parkingu było faktycznie sporo samochodów, ale na potrzeby święta organizatorzy dołożyli kilka parkingów wokół zamku wprost na trawie, więc każdy na pewno znalazł coś dla siebie. Do kasy biletowej niewielka kolejka, dosłownie na maksymalnie 10 minut czekania. Po opłaceniu wejścia pieczątka na rękę (taka forma biletu) i już można zwiedzać do woli. Formę zwiedzania dostosowujemy do swoich preferencji. Można zwiedzać z przewodnikiem, albo samemu po wyznaczonych trasach zwiedzania (jest ich kilka) z aplikacją mobilną. Pomimo święta narodowego i dość sporej grupy osób, tłoku bynajmniej nie było (ze względu na ogrom całości). Spokojnie każdy mógł przejść przez wszystkie trasy w swoim tempie, nie blokując nikogo i nie wchodząc w paradę. Trafiliśmy akurat na uroczyste rozpoczęcie sezonu turystycznego 2025 z występami miejscowej grupy rekonstrukcyjnej. Wyglądało to wspaniale i zgromadziło sporą widownię. Była muzyka, pokazy Bractwa Rycerskiego, salwa honorowa z armat oraz pokazy tańca dworskiego. Wspaniała rzecz, naprawdę warto taką tradycję kultywować. Sam Zamek Krzyżtopór robi ogromne wrażenie, pomimo że jest to trwała ruina. Za czasów swojej świetności ten pałac był jednym z najwspanialszych w Polsce i Europie, łączył wygodę z funkcją obronną. Taka forma nazywała się "palazzo in fortezza". Wielka szkoda, że jego historia jest tak tragiczna i ta wspaniała budowla nie przetrwała potopu szwedzkiego i innych zawirowań historycznych. Biorąc pod uwagę fakt, że jest to nasze dziedzictwo kulturalne świadczące o dawnej potędze Rzeczpospolitej, dziwię się że nasze państwo nie garnie się do rekonstrukcji pod nadzorem konserwatora zabytków tej wspaniałej budowli, która do dnia dzisiejszego wzbudza zachwyt w Polsce i na całym świecie swoim rozmachem. Dobrze chociaż, że Zamek Krzyżtopór otrzymał w roku 2018 tytuł Pomnika Historii i został ogłoszony...
