We had a walking tour organized by Caminhando and, of course, wanted to see Flamingos. Our guide, Luis, is part of this Sanilas do Samouco wildlife reserve. He was amazing, passionate about the environment, and birds and made our visit memorable. There are tree routes you can take green, being longest and yellow the shortest. Walking was easy. We made frequent stops to see all kinds of birds. We were given binoculars, which was amazing. Hope they make it clear when the last...
Read moreI was in luck and saw many Flamingos close up in flight, as well as many other "rare"birds. The routes are well signed and the lamdscape is very unique. Also Public transport is close by, which isn't the standard for hiking areas arround Lisbon. Considering the size of the area, the price seems fair, the employee at the counter was also very helpful/friendly and the additional material (bird watching guide) is well done. If you are a tourist, you can easily combine the visit with a trip to the close Outlet Center. Together a contrasting daytrip and a nice...
