Great viewpoint, with views over the cliffs and the immense Bordeira beach. The whole road leading up to here from Praia do Amado is scattered with stunning viewpoints. The main ones are 9, marked with a big letter from C to K on the road side (A and B are the museum and village of Carrapateira - search for the Pontal da Crrapateira web site for more setails). They also have boardwalks that lead you to the viewpoints, but you will be able to see much more if you ca (very carefully) walk a bit closer to the cliff edges on the available trails. You can drive, ride or walk the road. It is a dirt road, but it can be driven on any standard car, motorbike, scooter or bicycle. However, shortly after the Sitio do Forno restaurant, driving to this place, there is a signs that forbids passage to motor homes and caravans. Whichever way, I highly recommend having wandering through...

Absolutely gorgeous beach. You have to wade across a shallow stretch of water to actually get on the beach from the car park but the views from the hilltop overlooking the beach are breathtaking and well worth the drive up there to take a look. I was told that the food at the beach place is very good but as we weren't willing to wade to get to it I can only give...

What a beautiful beach, and pretty good surf. Such a shame that on this massive beach dogs aren’t allowed. Presumably the powers that be here are quite happy with the human faeces and toilet paper that are scattered in the dunes… Most humans will pick up after their dogs - it’s quite apparent that humans won’t pick up after themselves or...

Reaaaalllyyy cool place. We had big waves and just so much water splashing everywhere. It was a really nice experience to walk around! ✨ can absolutely recommend visiting, if you want to go off the wooden structure flip flops are not the best way to go (you’ll still be fine but not comfortable)
