Read moreBeautiful place, but poorly managed. Some of the staff are okay, but a lot of policies seem to exist just to make things unnecessarily difficult for visitors. You can't have dessert if you ordered fruit (even though they'll give you way more food than you ask for, so a lot goes to waste); one person in our group got the wrong ticket and they made her rejoin the really long queue to fix it, even though she was still at the counter; some vendors only take cash (not that unusual in Portugal, but still inconvenient); and the cranky train driver didn't want us to reboard, even though posted signs said it's hop-on/hop-off.
