The waterfall is amazing! Defenetly worth the visit! You can choose between two options if you wanna get there . The first and easiest (and less beautiful) way is from the car park take a taxi wich is going down to the waterfall.

The second option is start your trip from the car park next to the road ( wich is going down) you will find the Levada walks. Just follow it and you will find the first waterfall after 1,5 hours normal walking. Third quarter of this walk way you can find a tourist rout wich is going down to the Risco Waterfall. The rout is not so hard with a normal strength is easy to complete it.

The view is amazing and if you like walking in the untouched nature this is the perfect...

One of the most impressive things on the island. Since we did not have much time to do the entire walk we took a bus from Rabacal parking down to the cafe. Bus operates from 10-18:30 I think, and the return ticket is 5€. It leaves every 20 minutes. Once you are there it is a short walk, maybe 30-40 minutes to the waterfall, and it is something else. Luckily I had a drone to capture both waterfalls, but even without it, it was amazing. P.s. we arrived around 10, the parking was semi-full and there were 10 people at the time by the waterfall, but by the time we came back to parking and the road was packed so I suggest getting...

Risco Waterfall in Madeira is one of the island’s most stunning waterfalls, located in the Rabaçal area within Laurisilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive to Rabaçal Parking – Located along the ER110 road. There’s a small parking lot, but it fills up fast., Walk or Take the Shuttle – From the parking lot, you can walk 2 km downhill to the Rabaçal Forestry House (Casa do Rabaçal) or take a shuttle (around €5 round-trip). Hike PR6 - Levada das 25 Fontes & Risco – The trail splits at the Rabaçal house, To Risco Waterfall: About 1.5 km (30 min) walk, mostly flat, To 25...

Walk the loop clockwise, start by going down the road then come back along the levada. It's steep both ways but the road is a bit boring with no views so best to get it done and out of the way first. It's also a long non-stop slope to hike up at the end of your hike if you got the other way! The waterfall is lovely and you can dip/swim in the water if it's a hot day, there's plenty of space around the waterfall to rest before climbing back up. The best part of the hike has to be walking along the levada. It's so peaceful and green. Such a unique feature of this island
