Lake Swimming Area "Olhos da Fervença" — Attraction in Cantanhede

Nice spot for families with small kids, with a natural pool with pleasant and shallow water. Next to the water, it has a small area with sand, followed by a small meadow with some big trees. It also has a green sloping area that surrounds the water. It has a bar (where you can buy snacks, drinks and ice cream), a restaurant (with hot meals) and toilets. The surrounding area is a big green and picnic park, with several tables (some with natural shadow), barbecue facilities and toilets. It also has a kindergarten, a football and basketball field. It has a nice free parking area...

Lake is nice and clean however DONT ORDER FOOD from the bar. It’s cold, not fresh and we’ve found hairs on some of our plates when the food came. We’ve sent the plates back and two minutes later get the same plate back with the food still being cold. Rice was mushy, steak wasn’t even stake, chips were flat no potatoes at all just empty inside. Salad was rotten, all brown. Disgusting food. I wouldn’t recommend it. When complained to the staff they didn’t listen and walked away and still made us pay in full for the food even though the plates were left full and food...

Very beautiful space, well taken care of and with lots of picnic tables, green spaces and shade from the trees... The local bar can fulfill your needs when it comes to food and refreshments or just a place to sit and enjoy the view or watch over the younglings in the water. Lagoon is shallow, has clear water and it's guarded by a team of lifeguards!
