It's definitely impressive how easy this 1.2kms wooden walkway makes it to get up this lovely valley in the mountains - my 6 year old managed it fine. I wouldn't call it an eyesore but I'll admit that I wish I'd come to explore the valley before the walkway got built; there are some great looking pools and waterfalls. The maps show that you can link up the top of the passadiço with another walking path and form a circuit that way. Hopefully the folk of Coentral Grande will take advantage of the tourism soon and open some nice cafés... I didn't see any! As usual, it was a shame to see litter and it doesn't look like plastic bottles in the bins are getting taken away to get recycled.

All in all, check it out - it's a great way to spend a...

We took our nephew's here during a recent visit to Portugal. The walkway makes areas of the valley accessible to you that would not normally be easy to access. There are multiple levels and rest areas, so you can pick how far you want to go, but the views are really worth the effort. Google maps directions are difficult to follow while driving there, so drive slowly and refer to the map. There are some dead-end roads nearby, that I have first-hand experience of. Parking was easy and free, we were the only car there. But make sure you take water with you, as the little shop/cafe wasn't open when we visited. We are definitely going back to reach the summit next time. But a really nice visit and your efforts will...

Altamente...
