One of the most amazing beaches I have ever been to. Once arriving on the island there is a small, pricy but good (!) restaurant. During high season a small patch of beach is serviced. BUT! From the ferry, take the wooden walkway towards “nude beach” (don’t worry you don’t have to go the full Monty), or walk west along the shore until you find your perfect spot. I was there on a Saturday (before the season) and I spent a whole day at the beach without seeing any other person. Just the birds and me. The farther you walk, the more deserted it will be. Nude beach? Don’t worry about that. There will be no one around to look at you ;) DO: walk west as far as you can. Explore the island. Have lunch in the restaurant. DON’T: just stay around the ferry pier. BRING: Umbrella, sunscreen and water/snacks. There is no shade at all - protect yourself. Read moreThe ferry and the island is nice. BUT the sea was unusable - extreme amounts of rotten seaweed allover the island. Nobody was swimming. I was in the 5% of visitors who dared to come to the water. Unfortunately I found it disgusting and after a few tries had to give up.
I’m not saying the seaweed is someones fault. But they should at least inform you before they sell you the ticket, right? Money over customer...
