Carrascalinho Viewpoint — Attraction in Freixo de Espada à Cinta

Well worth a detour! Beautiful view of the river, if you're lucky there's noone else there and you can enjoy total silence. You'll hear only birds, insects and the wind.

When we were there we saw many birds of prey cirkeling the area. Haven't felt one with nature since a long time, but this place did it.

The road to get there is small but asphalted most of the way, only the last part doesn't and has some big cracks in it. Is can be driven though, or walked if you don't have the guts or the car for it.

Pode se observar uma familua de abutres lindíssimos, a incluir o abutre egípcio que é todo branco com a ponta das asas negras...lindo. de se ver. Ficamos completamente rodeados de pureza , de cores magníficas, do começo do rio douro quase a fazer fusão com o rio sabor... Ao anoitecer, observa se as vilas espanholas a nossa frente, tudo iluminado com um silêncio arrebatador. Recomendo vivamente conhecerem este sitio...
