Piscinas Scorpio — Attraction in Guimarães

We visited Scorpio pool 2 days ago on Friday (in August). That was my first time visit and the second visit for my partner.

You CANNOT re-enter the pool after you are inside, so bring your own food or buy from their snack bar restaurant.

Wear you mask while entering the pool. Keep the distance with people like always. The pool is too crowded. Less people on the pool only after 4 pm.

1.TICKET In peak season, we advise you to buy the ticket online through their website. It is better to avoid a long queue to buy offline ticket there. The payment method available is MBWAY or Multibanco. It is easy to book the ticket online.

The price is so affordable. 3 - 6 years old: €3 7 - 12 years old: €4 13 years old and more: €6

LOCATION The location is easy to reach by google maps. We went from Gaia and it took as around 1 hour to arrive there.

PARKING The parking is FREE. They have a wide parking lot for the visitors. Do not worry for not to have a place for your vehicle.

ENTRANCE The park opens at 09:00 am. When you arrive before 9 am, make sure you are on the correct queue if you have book your online ticket. Some people will ask their family make a queue near the entrance while their family is buying the tickets. They were on the left queue. The right queue is for the visitors with their online ticket.

There will be a worker to scan your tickets. You do not need to print your tickets. You can show the pdf file and she will scan the qr code.

POOL They have actually 4 pools. The main pool with various deep, another small pool in 20cm deep, and the other 2 pool for children.

There is nothing special with pool. It is normal pool, the difference is just on their wide space for people to lay down.

One positif thing about the pool is their pool guard. He is always there looking at people. We left the pool around 7 pm and he is still there. Thank you for keeping us safe.

RENTING UMBRELLA and BENCH You can rent umbrella and bench in affordable price. It will cost you only €3 You can have it all day. You just need to go to their receptionist place near the toilet. The staff will help you to hang the umbrella on the ground.

If you do not want to rent umbrella, you can have shadow from tree. It is free when you have empty space.

TOILET The toilet is not really clean. They should clean better. The hot water for shower is exactly perfect. You just need to bring your own soap and shampoo.

FOOD They have a snack bar near the entrance. The price is okay for some reason but exactly not what we want.

Since they will not let you go out and re-enter, you must bring your own food or buy in their snack bar. I felt a bit disappointed with this fact. They should provide the snack bar with food available for family who do not bring their own food.

In the end, we decided to order food from UberEATS. At least, we ate real food not bread.

FOTOS Sometimes it is quite annoying when they forced us to take a picture. We want to enjoy our holiday. Even I saw they enter to the water to take a picture from the visitors.

The pools themselves are fine and very fun for the kids and family. Food is cheap but no healthy options. Bathrooms are old and not well cleaned. Entrance is also affordable. The absolute worst are the photographers, they don't care to interrupt you in the middle of a conversation to push dumb pictures with michey/animals/paw patrol, they "trap" you when both entering and leaving the pool to push sales, and if you are in a pool close to any family member they will constantly arrass you for more pictures, even when you say no. On top of all of this they charge 10.5 euros (summer 2023) for each picture at the exit, printed on the absolutely lowest quality paper and at very low resolution (so that it prints fast) because they print so many. Tinha tudo para ser um excelente local de diversão familiar, mas...

Visitei o local em família, dois adultos e duas crianças (5 anos), num dia de semana.

Ora na entrada não há distinção entre quem compra bilhetes online ou no local, se é um grupo grande ou apenas uma família. A fila para entrada é a mesma para grupos e para famílias, não há organização.

Mas os pontos negativos não ficam por aqui... É praticamente surreal a quantidade de pessoas que podem entrar no recinto, não havendo quase espaço para estar na piscina. A segurança em todo o recinto é exatamente igual a Zero. Existe apenas um nadador Salvador para todo o recinto, que estaria, muito provavelmente, muito próximo da sua capacidade máxima. O staff (vigilantes), que deveria fazer cumprir as regras de utilização dos escorregas, está praticamente a fazer "corpo presente" não controlando a entrada e saída dos escorregas o que, infelizmente, origina acidentes, principalmente no escorrega fechado. Alertamos inclusive para uma situação menos agradável (à vista de todos), a "vigilante" foi chamada à atenção (supostamente por um responsável), mas em nada mudou o seu comportamento. As piscinas estavam cheias de cabelos, o que na verdade não é de estranhar, tendo em conta o número absurdo de pessoas dentro da mesma. Há espaços altos sem vedação, de acesso fácil à crianças, um perigo de queda eminente. O bar de apoio não tem resposta para a quantidade excessiva de pessoas que pode entrar no parque. A limpeza (ou falta dela) começa logo pela qualidade da água como já referi, cheia de cabelos. As casas de banho seguem o mesmo, sem qualquer limpeza ou manutenção, sendo que estão até um pouco degradadas. O espaço exterior precisa de manutenção, as supostaa piscinas para "lavar" os pés para evitar que terra e restos de relva sejam levados para as piscinas, pura e simplesmente, não funcionam.
