We enjoyed this tour SO much. Not just the tour itself, but even the trip to and from the hotel.
We were picked up at the hotel by our guide Gui. He has taught as A LOT about the island and its history, and even about himself when we asked. His English is superb, speaks loud enough to understand him very well in the back of the car (I know, small detail, but many don't do this), instructions were clear and he made the tour a very safe experience. Equipment was good and before/during/after the tour no rush whatsoever. Multiple stops during tour, with amazing views and stories at each stop. Will do this again 100% for sure when back here. If you have any questions or concerns (for example, about clothing, which things to bring), we talked via WhatsApp and got responses very quickly. Felt like talking to a friend.
I was not asked to leave a review, contrary to what I was expecting with so many positive reviews. Now that I have experienced it, I totally understand and agree with what I read in the reviews. Well deserved 5...
Read moreBest experience of the Madeira vocation. If you enjoy andrenalin experience this is for you, dusty, muddy and fast experience. Riding through hills and jungle with best history of Madeira tour was unforgettable. We booked advanced throughout internet, then we discussed place of pickup. The guy come to the central Funchal for us to drive us to the place, near by Machico. The safety briefing in the morning was pretty scary but it takes just a few meters to drive and fear go away replacing with adrenaline and joy. We had 4 stops along the way for views and very interesting information about places around and history of Madeira. I got more info about Madeira for that 3 hours than for entire 2 weeks I was here on my own. He is the funny joking guy with a lot of experience. It was really pleasant journey and I would repeat it immediately. If you have a time do it it is very knowledgeable and enjoyable. It gets bit of dirty, mud dust all around but you can manage. Thanks very much for...
Read moreExcellent afternoon, Good fun!! Very interesting & different way to visit part of the North side of this beautiful island. Nelson the guide is a really nice guy who is conscious of everyone's safety - I found this important as we have 2 children. The tour was approximately 3 hours & Nelson takes pride in showing & explaining the sights, views & history of Madeira. Lots of photo opportunities & some nice surprises on the way round - the last 1 is the best - homemade Poncha at the local bar!! Good value for money & they offer pickup & drop off to your hotel. An excellent way to spend an afternoon & will definitely use again....
