What a fantastic stop! If you pass the Iron fence at the right side, you can go 2 sides... on the left, step over the rock wall and you will find the first hole at your left. If you choose right at the beginning, prepare for a great journey. (Bring your flashlight with you or multiple mobile flashlights) after descending the stairs you can enter the cave at your right. What awaits you is a magical lava tunnel where you can witness the power of lava. The tunnel is about 1 km long but offers a fantastic hike with the glittering of gold and ancient rocks and lavastones. A must do if you visit this area and when you are not afraid to go down in the darkness and silence. We did it in august and we were all alone. Only when we left the cave there were some people just arriving the place. The most beautiful one i've seen on this islands....

It's unbelievable that this place is not used for tourism in any official capacity. No entrance fee, no tickets, no waiting, etc. - it's as raw as it gets. If you intend to go through and explore, make sure to bring a helmet and flashlight. We only had a flashlight and decided to turn around after what must've been around 200 meters in. It's a big cave - trucks would fit easily through here. It's not like it can collapse any moment (although don't quote me on it - I'm far from an expert) - but there is a likeliness that smaller rocks might drop from the ceiling and for that, a helmet would definitely be recommended. Other than that - it's probably the greatest and at the same time easiest unsupervised adventure you can have...

Absolutely amazing!!! (bring a good flashlight!)

To get to the caves you need to cross few meters of a pasture (so you might meet some friendly cows). The entrance is maybe a bit tricky to see at first but just look for some trees on your right side.

There are some steps made out of stone so it’s fairly easy to get down to the caves (maybe a bit slippery). But as the caves are not professionally maintained depending how far you want to go in there, it can get really dark! The flashlight of my phone was good enough to see where I’m going but if you can, definitely bring a...

Most people will zoom on by and never notice. But for the curious few, there's 45 minutes of discovery to be had in these hidden caves. As others said, bring a good flashlight (better than a phone). Go to (and past) the cattle gate, and you'll see three unassuming hills to your front left. Hidden at the top back of the first is the main explorable cave. Wear good shoes and prepare to get a bit muddy (not much, if you're agile). The tip top of the third hill contains another surprise, but you might need gear to explore further...
