Melgaço whitewater — Attraction in Melgaço

I can write you a book. Rafting was great, but it was much more. Take rafting out, and give me just the experience with Anselmo and Claudia, the entire package Melgaço put together, the great company from both guides, the friendship and interest in you, the stories and sharing, the flat out good fun together and doing more than just sitting in a rubber boat.

It can be as low key as you want it or as adventurous as you want. Whether you just cruise along in the raft, climb out for a drift, jump from the rocks, practice entry techniques... can be something for each different person in your group.

We were very fortunate that the day we went we were the only group with Melgaço, and only one other company with a single group from Spain that we passed by as they started out. We saw some of their activities (or lack thereof) and really knew that Melgaço makes it a whole experience. (I'd pay double)

Beautiful and unique location. If you're looking for 3/4/5 class, well, you should know better. But there's MORE than enough for a good time together, first timers or experienced just looking for something fun to do together and see some beautiful scenery along a border river with some cool history.

Extraordinary experience! Staff is super nice and the service is excellent. When we wanted to book the rafting, they where very fast to reply. They served a typical ham sandwich and local white whine from Melgaço at the end of the experience which was very good. They had a photographer taking photos along the river and the guide took photos and videos during the trip with a GoPro. All the photos and videos are included in the price you pay! In the middle of the trip, you can jump to the water from a cliff 5 meters high! Before leaving, they offered us a bottle of the local white whine. I recommend...

We had a wonderful rafting experience with our fantastic host Almeida and our amazing captain, Carlos! The ride was fun, exciting, and perfectly suited for our two kids, who had an absolute blast.

The highlight? The water was warm enough to make the whole trip even more enjoyable. We stopped halfway for a refreshing swim and a thrilling jump, which made the experience even funnier.

The ending with a little snack and gifting is also a very nice little detail.

Highly recommended for families looking for adventure without going too extreme!
