[Bring Cat Food& Anti-inflammatory medicine if you can] We visited this place last Sunday and were struck not only by the beautiful view but also by the presence of many stray cats living around. One of them is in visible pain due to severe stomatitis (mouth inflammation). Because of this condition, the cat is unable to groom itself or eat dry food (even though someone had kindly placed some kibble nearby). Eating dry food with stomatitis is very painful. The cat (not the one in the pic) is very skinny and unable to clean the red dirt off its fur like other healthy cats. So if you are planning to visit and have the means, please consider bringing 1) wet cat food, 2) basic anti-inflammatory medication for cats, 3) clean food and water bowls or container. It’s been 3days since our visit, and I am deeply worried about the cat’s condition. Unfortunately we couldn’t do much on that day, as we did not expect to encounter a sick cat, and had to leave that evening to catch a flight. So I would like to try to ask for help from here:) thank you in advance for any kindness you can bring! Feel free to leave a comment or update if you have visited and seen the cats. I would love to know how...

Would recommend taking snacks and taking advantage of the picnic areas - but watch out for the stray cats.
Interesting Fact: there is a little fountain to the right of the viewpoint entryway. I turned it, expecting it to not turn at all or at least not release any water. Wrong on both counts - it turned with a little effort and out...
Read moreThe best Miradouro, in my opinion. The birds and bees are abundant, as they enjoy the beautiful trees and flowers along with you. There are numerous spots, some hidden and alone, for you to cook food on built-in grills with nice stone tables and benches. Words to not describe the views and scenery. The weather this time of year is very comfortable at 20C/68F, with a mild breeze that brings amazing scents of the flowers to your nose. Parking is plenty, with nice visible markers. Do not miss visiting while you are...
