American traveler - please 'thumbs up' if helpful

This was such a fun Quinta to visit. As soon as you pull up you are greeted by their welcoming community which is compromised of incredibly sweet dogs. I instinctively stopped for a few minutes to play with them until I was reminded I was there for a tasting. The dogs were not jumpy or pushy in any way, they were just there and really really hoping for some head rubs.

We were there for a private tasting and the room was beautifully set for us. We had a tasting of ports and tawny and I have to admit that their tawny was FANTASTIC. It was as good if not better than the larger more dominant vineyards. Whereas in one brand I only really liked the 40 year old tawny, their 10 Y/O was excellent. I asked if I could try the 20 and the guide without hesitation opened a bottle for me to try; I promptly purchased a bottle on my way out.

The experience overall was delightful and I would visit the Quinta again in a heartbeat. The shipping costs to the US are extremely high but that is no fault of their own. If you are planning to buying even 3 or 4 bottles of wine during your trip there is luggage designed for traveling with wine. Buy it! We are/were limited due to our willingness to pay the shipping and the constraints of our luggage.

Enjoy your time at the Quinta you definitely won't regret...

Best vineyard in the Douro - Quinta Seara d'Ordens - we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this vineyard, family run and an absolute delight. Family members welcomed us warmly and took us on a tour of their vineyard, we enjoyed the wine and port tasting that followed with the history of each glass, their wine and red wines, white, ruby and tawny ports are exceptional. We were also fortunate to taste their olive oil which is delicious with homemade bread and their preserves. We had were able to purchase some of the ports and wine in their shop afterwards (their olive oil was also available to purchase), the prices were extremely reasonable and we will enjoy and evoke the wonderful memories of our time visiting this exceptional vineyard. The location of house and vines were breathtaking a truly memorable visit and one that we would highly recommend, if you only have time to visit one vineyard, make it Quinta Seara d'Ordens, you will not be disappointed. Thank you,...

Wow! We just spent the last 2 hours with Teresa, a member of the family who grew up making wine. Not only was she the most lovely person, but she answered our (millions) of questions, walked us through the tour and let us try incredible port and wines (I’m not kidding, I liked every one of the tastings which has never happened). Also the premises were gorgeous with palm trees and beautiful rooms (see photos). For being a family owned, medium sized winery, we had an incredible experience and definitely recommend.

This place was special - email them in advance to get a reservation! (Or do like we did and just show up and most likely they will...

We came to Regua by train as all the wine tour day trip was fully booked…and luckily we found this amazing vineyard!!! We didn’t make a reservation in advance, but they kindly accommodated us even with a delayed taxi. Our guide Marcus was super friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! We had a great wine tasting session with him and enjoyed all of bottles we tried!!! Got a few bottles sent home and to our friends as they’re so good!! Highly recommend to everyone, it’s worth it!!!!!! The lady at the reception was really lovely too, sorry we didn’t manage to capture her name! A highlight for our trip in Porto! Thank you Quinta Seara d’Ordens:)
