We did this hike on Christmas day 2019 and we started from the other side of the island meaning we walked about 15km. But, oh boy, it was well worth it! The way up was beautiful but once we got to the top, the view of Porto Santo is breath taking. The walk itself wasn't too difficult, about 4 km uphill but apart from the last 2 it was pretty much asphalt all the way. Definitely would recommend!

The journey up is quite an adventure, and it gravel road part of the way. You are able to get car right to top if you not up for walking so helpful with those that do struggle. There is a swing to the side and it has amazing views and worth the trek. Nobody was there when we got there, was a private paradise.

This viewpoint is in a stunning position at the southern point of Porto Santa and confers great views of the nearby islet called Ilhéu da Cal. I walked up here on the second day of my seven day stay on the island and the trek paid handsome rewards.

There is a swing to the side and it has amazing views and worth the trek. Nobody was there when we got there, was a private paradise.

one of the most beautiful views I have seen in my 41 years of life. I would like to go back there again sometime… It was my first flight in my life. It was 12 years ago. an unforgettable experience. it's worth being there. the entire island of Porto Santo is remarkable. especially for those who want to calm down and relax. lazy summer time. greetings...
