TRAIL · FORESTS OF AGUALVA

This 4 km circular trail begins and ends at Parque das Frechas, offering a close look at two key elements of Agualva’s heritage: its streams and forests. The waters once powered mills and still supply nearby parishes, while the forests provide wood for local carpentry.

The route follows the Ribeiro do Sabão stream toward Fontinha and Caminho do Pau Grosso, passing rural pastures and notable spots like the Bica D’Osso stream and a giant eucalyptus tree over 5 meters in girth.

It then climbs through a forest of cryptomeria trees to a viewpoint known as “Varanda sobre a Vila,” offering one of the best views of Agualva.

The path continues through old logging roads surrounded by diverse forest vegetation, including beech trees, acacias, ferns, and lichens. You’ll also find natural springs and shelters once used by wild goats.

One of the best parks and camping sites i have ever seen! There is a toilet, shower and a sink. I also found a lot of grills with wooden planks. There is a wonderful waterfall in the park! I would recommend this...

Local maravilhoso! Com vistas estrondosas de tirar o fôlego. Ambiente muito calmo, transmite uma sensação de paz e sossego incríveis! Tem local para se fazer piqueniques, com mesas e bancos de pedra. Sítios abrigados para se cozinhar, com condições excelentes. Tem wc público, que permite até tomar banho. Existem muitos caixotes de lixo espalhados por toda a área de convívio para evitar poluição.
