Portugal trip: 6/7 The golf madness continues! We didn't have to wake up early since our tee time was in the afternoon. We arrived at the course a bit earlier for some practice and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It was buzzing because, due to rain the previous day on courses south of Lisbon, many golfers were seeking a place to play. We had a quick chat with the manager, who informed us that we might be delayed by a few minutes and would be paired with someone. Not a problem at all; we enjoy socializing. In fact, we even started 10 minutes earlier! After a quick warm-up on the driving range next to the clubhouse, we were off to play. Our companions were a pair of German brothers, currently living in Lisbon. The opening hole is an easy, flat par 5, and then the course gradually takes you through a residential area, featuring a short par 4 and a par 3. The holes are surrounded by pine trees, and the houses are at a distance, so they don't interfere with your game. I really like this course; it reminds me of resort courses. You won't lose a ball unless it goes into the water or out of bounds. As we finished the front nine and started back on the back nine, we encountered another par 5, which was very scorable, followed by a short par 3 and a par 4. I particularly enjoyed this stretch. The fairways are also lined with cork trees, which have been stripped from the bottom. As we approached the end, we realized just how much we appreciated this course. The finishing hole is a tough par 4, making it hard to score on the inclined, fast green. I have only one suggestion for this course: consider changing the routing. The ninth hole is better than the current eighteenth and is closer to...
Read moreI played on a grey day in October so the pictures don’t do the course justice, but I thoroughly enjoyed my round!
The course is in good condition, fairways solid en greens pretty quick and consistent. The layout is challenging enough with some elevation, protected greens and interesting doglegs that challenge you to go for the Tiger-line. Driving range also good, you can hit from the grass.
I found the staff helpful, the caddie master even tried to pair me with players that would suit my playing level. Everyone speaks English well.
I paid €80 for the round and €40 for the rental clubs: I got Titleist T100’s (iron shaft) that were in good shape. Buggy is an extra €40 but the course very walkable.
I would rate the course 8/10, and this was in October - you can tell it is well kept and managed, so I bet it’s a...

Extremely friendly and hospitable staff… when we started our 18 holes the restaurant staff indicated that the kitchen would be closed at the time we would finish our round… but, when we finished and had a beer on the terrace the kitchen was re-opened.. true and real hospitality… and very nice golf course, with fairways that feel like...
