Praia da Figueirinha — Attraction in Setúbal

It’s an amazing beach ,part of the Parque Natural da Serra da Arrábida. The landscape it’s beautiful and the quality of water very clean ( but a warning regarding the temperature,generally it’s very cold when compared with other beaches). Parking here in the month of August it’s very hard or almost impossible if you come ‘late’ - there is always the possibility to leave the car in the car park near cement factory and take the bus - a very short trip). There toilets and a restaurant near by. June and September are a great time to come here and explore the surroundings in a more relaxed way -...

It is the closest beach to Setúbal which I would consider a real ocean beach. Even closer is Albaqurque, but it has alittle rover feeling, as the water seems not so clear. Figurinha has services, a bar and restrooms. Also, the bus stop is right here, you don't need to go down the cliff. I felt that the sand is a little rafer on this beach than others. But it is a good beach, just not the one I prefer. Just remember that towards the end of the day, some buses to Setùbal might not take any people here, as they are full. Absolutely stunning beach with a wonderful view!! Warm water, beautiful sand, and small waves. Perfect place if you wanna swim all day. If you are coming from Lisboa, you can either take a train or bus to come to Setúbal, and from the center you can take another bus which will leave you literally in front of the beach, it’s very accessible in this way. One minus point is that the bus was packed with others, it can be an uncomfortable experience if they’re considerate people around themselves given that bus needs keep turning...
