We visited Krazyworld with our 3 children ages 6, 3 & 2 and they loved it. I read some very bad reviews about this place, in particular in relation to the care of the animals and I have to say I really disagree with what people said. The enclosures appear to be overgrown and muddy in places but in my opinion are more of a natural habitat compared to the "clean" zoos people are talking about. I think people tend to forget that animals in the wild actually live in the "wild" hence overgrown, muddy places.
They were talking about the care of the animals and how their coats were matted and the conditions were awful... what I witnessed was that their coats had mud on them and therefore looked a little dirty but overall in my opinion the animals looked very healthy and well kept and most importantly "happy" which is a lot more than I can say about most bigger zoos across Europe.
The whole place looked a bit simple compared to larger parks and therefore older kids might get bored but definitely for young children (under 8) I would highly recommend this place.
The snack bar was nice and the staff were very friendly. The crazy golf was basic but our 6 year old loved it. For the little ones they really enjoyed the bouncy castles.
The place was a little remote but I think this added to the character of the park and if you're like me and like the countryside, you'd say it was in a perfect setting. It is signposted from Algoz and was not difficult to find at all despite some of the comments in some of the previous bad reviews.
If you have small children, this is a perfect day out and I have no doubt they would really enjoy it. For older kids and in particular, teenagers, then to be honest maybe it wouldn't be for them.
Overall, I give krazy world 5 stars and will definitely be going back when we are visiting...
Read moreA really small Zoo compared to my home zoo’s in Wales & England (U.K.). The goats were my only favourite. So friendly & wagged their tails like dogs. The crocodiles were our main reason for booking this place as we don’t have crocodiles in the U.K. as it’s too cold. Another favourite of ours was feeding them terrapins (tortoises). 50cence for just food to feed them which was a lovely thing to see. Went down the petting zoo area and it’s literally only the goats you can pet. Hardly a ‘petting zoo’. The water park was just one slide and one small pool for adults. I wouldn’t say this park is good for couples. Mainly families. I think the crocodiles are in too much of a small enclosure. Considering the use of space the zoo could adjust with. Simply cruel. I felt I was paying for cruelty. The receptionist, she was extremely rude. Not sure if it was because I spoke English but she could speak fluent. The people aren’t nice there at all. Would not recommend at all. The water in the park is FREEZING!! I know it’s everywhere round Portugal but I’m never cold and even in the sun it was freezing literally. Not good going straight from heat to cold as it made me quite ill. One child was crying because of the temperature. It’s like they can’t afford heating systems here. Not many animal’s to see nor interact. No workers go round and frequently check on animals. Very unprofessional...
Read moreAmazing place to visit and get up close and personal with wildlife from animal presentations to feeding the birds and more. It is not the biggest of zoos however there mission and what they do is amazing here. They have plenty of things to do for children and on hot days there is always the pool area to cool down and go for a swim or water slide. Food prices are reasonable but expect a few add on charges if you want to hire a sun lounger next to the pool area. There is plenty of parking on site if you are arriving in car. The staff is very knowledgeable about the animals they are caring for and the park is very clean and tidy. Arrive on time according to their schedule to get involved with one to one feeding and viewing of the animals, they are on time and prompt. I did have doubts after reading some recent bad reviews but I really Believe some people feel entitled and have a sour attitude and you have to see and experience this place for yourself and disregard any bad reviews. If you look at any of my previous reviews of places you will see I have been to many places all over the world and I highly recommend Krazy world. They are doing a great job for the animals and there should be more places in the world doing what they do on a day to day basis. I had a fantastic time here and from what I could see all family’s and children did also.
Thank you Krazy world...
