Figueira Beach — Attraction in Vila do Bispo

Beautiful secluded beach with crystal clear waters and soft golden sand. No beach facilities though and is a 15-20min walk from the car park along rough, uneven terrain but it is definitely worth it - just make sure to bring enough supplies and always take everything away with you when you leave as there are no bins.

Also advise you do NOT follow the driving route given by Google Maps as it will take you down a steep and bumpy dirt track that doesn’t actually lead you to the beach (as we found out). Instead, follow the road into Figueira village and there will be a brown signpost pointing to Figueira beach along R. Praia da Figueira, car park will be obvious at the end of the narrow road....

Figueira Beach was my favorite beach near Sagres. It's an easy walk from the parking lot, just a short 15 minute stroll down a path to reach the sand. This beach is big, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. There seemed to be a clothing-optional section at one end, but it was pretty far away. It's a very nice and not too crowded beach maybe because you have to leave the car and walk through some vegetation (the path is doable for most people) for 10-15 minutes. Once there, the right side is mainly naturist. As always when close to cliff, be careful of rockfalls. It's also a dog friendly beach. Some families were there too but mostly couples.
