Wow! Amazing scenery! More on that later First prices: 80Kc to park. 170Kc for family. 10Kc for a dog. 30Kc for an English map. = 290Kc for an amazing experience (just under $12USD) We are a family with two boys (6&3) that enjoyed the day here. Luckily little guy didn't need to be carried too much as he was too busy climbing on all kinds of rocks with his brother. Pack a lunch, head to groundzero and get walking. I definitely agree with their recommendation of going left as soon as you pay. Four trails leading in basically the same direction that break off. I recommend taking the yellow and switching to green once they meet up again. Everything about this place was awe-inspiring. We thought oh this little canyon was beautiful but I am sure the green trail can't top it. Well it didn't top it, but it kept staying stunningly beautiful! Check out the photos to see a small taste of the beauty. 5/5 Would HIGHLY recommend.

Amazing scenery!! We mainly took the green route and a small part yellow on the end, which covers all wonderful viewpoints. A route map can be found at the start of the trail. The route brings you through some steep climbs by stairs, some amazing viewpoints over the rock formations, and beautiful walks through the forest and some narrow (shoulder-width) passages through split rocks. This full route will take you about 2 to 2,5 hours including stops to admire the scenery, take pictures, and have a small break. Parking costs you 100Kc (€4) if you park in the designated parking area. A parking assistant wil put you to a halt on the main road and collect the parking fee. The entrance fee to the rock area is 120Kc per adult, and will be collected at a small stand near the main walking route. Be aware that both fees must be paid in cash. If you are visiting Czech, this is a must-see!

We managed to get to the cliffs using public transport from Prague and it was worth the effort. Amazing formations, very beautiful setting, great birds including a black woodpecker which we heard but couldn’t see. The paths on the map were a little confusing but help if you want a flat path. We followed the red path where steps took you down through the rock towers. There are some composting toilets around the site, we saw a couple of car parks and some cafes/kiosks. It was not expensive, as seniors it cost us 140 Ck. (Tram B to end of line Cerny Most then bus 405 or 412 to Jicin. 510 from Jicin to park entrance or if fit you can walk from Jicin!)

Lovely, well maintained natural preserve with excellently marked hiking paths. Green one will take you on a larger circle (count with about two hours and plenty of steep ascents). Outside of the tourist season the entrance and parking is for free and amount of people is very low, making it ideal for a calming hike. Some of the rock slits are less than 60 cm wide and there are a lot of steps on the path, so make sure your knees can take it and you won't get stuck anywheres. Plenty of viewing points on the track providing breathtaking view of the rock maze. Make sure not to step outside of the beaten track - it is illegal and can be dangerous.

Z Prachovských skal mám pokaždé takové smíšené pocity. Místo je to krásné a zajímavé, skalní úzké schodiště a průlezy jsou zážitkem (já osobně to moc nemusím, ale to je můj problém, to lokalitě vyčítat nemohu). Nicméně bohužel jak je místo známé a turisticky atraktivní, je návštěvnost až příliš. Parkovné se vybírá už u odbočky k parkhotelu Skalní město, načež celá cesta dolů se počítá jako parkoviště, tj. auta stojí na krajnici v lese/příkopě celou dobu až dolů po parkovací plácek s mnoha dírami a pár místy. Za 100,- Kč, neber to. Načež dojdete ke vstupu, kde dáte dalších 100,- za každého dopělého. Všechny tyhle peníze mají jít na údržbu, nicméně to není moc vidět. Míst, kde se dají vyhodit odpadky je minimum, některá zábradlí už pamatují snad i Žižku a mnoho schodů je natolik ošoupaných, že schod tvoří prakticky skluz dolů. Za tyhle ceny vstupného a kolik se tam otoči lidí bych čekal, že tyhle cesty po značených turistických trasách toto budou mít v pořádku. Je to přírodní park, ale když ten pískovec sloužící jako schod (logicky) nevydrží nápor tisíců nohou, měl by být pospraven. Na druhou stranu se od naší minulé návštěvy někde vylepšilo posezení, nové lavičky z přírodních materiálů a zajímavým ozdobným kováním vypadají moc dobře a přitom zapadají do prostředí. A jako důsledek těch davů si člověk připadá jako na náměstí. Cesty jsou navíc v mnoha místech průchozí jen po jednom, to při davech přicházejících z obou stran není ideální. Vlastně permanentně máte někoho za zády a permanentně někomu uhýbáte. Málokdy máte čas se někde v klidu zastavit pokochat se, udělat foto, či si jen trochu vydechnout. Nicméně příroda je tam krásná, výhledy také, a navíc trochu toho dobrodružství. A samozřejmě je to skalní les, takže je k vidění mnoho lokálních zvířat, především ptactva. Nám se přišla předvést Červenka.

I really love this place. The green route is challenging, yet fun for normally trained people. So again I enjoyed my visit here. The prices of the entrance are super fair I think. Dogs are welcome. Parking is 80 Kč, I think for keeping the area the way it is, a bit more than usually is superfine for me. I appreciate that the track is very clean, people respect the place. Hardly any littering. I also think that it's checked on a regular basis. Also I saw some new stairs this time. So the track is taken care of as well. So if you want a challenging fun hike, absolutely recommended.

Description
The Prachov Rocks are a rock formation in the Czech Republic approximately 5 kilometres west of Jičín. Since 1933, they have been a protected natural reserve. The region where the formations are located is called Bohemian Paradise, Český ráj in Czech.
