Panda House Qatar is truly a remarkable project that left me in awe. Located within Al Khor’s Al Bayt Stadium Park, this innovative space is dedicated to the conservation and education surrounding one of the world’s most beloved animals – the giant panda. As I walked through the beautifully designed enclosures, I was struck by the seamless integration of natural elements, making it a comfortable and enriching environment for the pandas, Suhail and Thuraya, who were brought here as part of the collaboration between Qatar and China.

The project isn’t just about showcasing these magnificent creatures; it’s a testament to the importance of sustainability and wildlife preservation. The facility is designed to mimic the pandas’ natural habitat, complete with bamboo groves, lush greenery, and state-of-the-art facilities that ensure their well-being. What’s even more inspiring is how the space serves as an educational hub, offering insights into panda behavior, their role in the ecosystem, and the global efforts to protect them.

Walking through Panda House, I felt a deep sense of respect for the dedication and vision behind this initiative. It’s more than just a tourist attraction – it’s a celebration of cultural collaboration and a reminder of our responsibility to protect endangered species. This project is a must-visit for anyone in Qatar, combining education, conservation, and an unforgettable experience with two of the most iconic animals in the world.

I saw the advertisement for Panda House on the Doha Metro wall and was glad I did. The pandas kind of mesmerised me...they are so beautiful and I just loved watching them eat their bamboo lunch. I arrived around 2pm after getting an Uber from West Bay for about 70QAR. Entry tickets can only be purchased through an App that I couldn't work out at home but the man at the ticket gate walked everyone through the process very patiently. The actual Panda House building is architecturally beautiful and the Panda enclosures are large and well equipped and maintained. The place was not very busy so I had a personal guide to answer all my questions and give me the best tips on where to stand to watch the pandas at feeding time (which I had to wait for-- an hour and a bit till 3.15pm) but there was a lovely Cafe where I could juat sit with a coffee or food and watch the female Panda while I was waiting. The pandas were wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk even called me a cab when I was ready to leave. I was a little worried it would be difficult to get a taxi or Uber to take me the 30 minutes back to the city as the Panda House is a little remote but it was no trouble at all. Thrte is not a whole lot to actually DO at Panda House except watch pandas sleeping, walking or eating but I was happy to do that. There is a Zoo attached but I didn't go there. Take a jumper or scarf...they keep the air conditioning on a low temp for the panda's comfort. Overall, I Highly recommend...

Panda House Alkhor is where 2 cute and rare pandas reside, I believe that they were both given as a gift from the people's republic of China to the state of Qatar for their upcoming 2022 FIFA Football world cup event back then, and there is a news article mentioning how they were shipped by plane.

It was a very memorable experience. All of us have thoroughly enjoyed it, especially our children. It's definitely worth visiting. Went with my family. Tickets are to be bought in advance online. I got mine via oun app (government baladiya app). Adults: QRS50 each. Under 18s: QRS25 each. Ample parking space. Lovely green spaces outside. Seperate environment space and sleeping area for Suhail (boy panda) and Thuraya (girl panda). Prayer room for men and women, gift shop, café lounge, children's educational play area, rest rooms for men and women. There a number of security guards everywhere which is good to prevent say a visitor knocking on the glass where the pandas are which will disturb them. I would like to suggest the administration to look into ways and methods by which to tackle the issue of flies outside the place especially where the car park is, as there is a huge number of flies flying everywhere. Spending-wise (after having purchased the tickets that is) at the café lounge and the gift shop, isn't super high, I would say average which is not bad at all. I would surely go back with my family and do recommend it...

This place was a nice surprise to our itinerary. We were only planning to visit the zoo next door but when we arrived we saw it and instantly visited it first. The place has huge open space and full of greenery. It has swing sets and play pens for the kids to enjoy. The white building that houses the two pandas are just as huge and even air-conditioned! Which is a great surprise for me, the pandas has better cooling system than me! 😂 Enjoyed watching Suhail and Thuraya bouncing around and eating. 🐼 You can see them in all angles as the building has glass walls from the very bottom floor all the way to the 3rd floor. The building also has a souvenir shop at the very entrance, a kids play area and a coffee shop so you can sip coffee while watching Thuraya climb a tree (which is what I did by the way!). A bit of a drive to reach this place specially if you're taking public transport. Would suggest to rent out a limousine or car service to take you and back to the city. Purchase your ticket through an app called OUN to save time.
