Zekreet Fort Ruins — Attraction in Al Shahaniya

I hadnt read up on the fort before going, i expected a fort not realising they were only ruins. It was a very quick visit at the ruins as there wasnt alot to read or look at. I wish i had know there was a stray dog living there as i would have taken some food as it followed us in the car and when walking around. Very underwhelming. We drove out there to escape the city. Google maps took us there but we nearly missed it was it not for the information board indicating the pile of rocks that is the ruins. It would have been interesting if some form of information was shared about what the pile of rocks represented. Nice beaches close by....

We stumbled across the remains of the fort ruins by chance and just as well, because, nothing is sign posted!
