The Lewis and Clark Trail is an 8 mile loop and has some great views as well as some very different ecohabitats to explore. This is one of my favorite trails in the St. Louis metro area some amazing views from the bluffs are the best part of the trail. There is a good amount of uphill climbing, but if you just want to experience the bluffs over the view of the Missouri, take the Lewis trail directly south to the river and then come back to the parking lot. It’s a mostly flat part to the trail and let’s you experience the view without the climb.

Get ready for a hike! The Lost Valley short loop is about 8 miles and the full trail is a little over 10. It's not very steep overall, so it's not too tiring. We went in early April. There were a lot of spring flowers and water was gushing from the underground springs. Some of the views are spectacular. Make sure to look up at those views instead of focusing on the rocks you are trying not to trip over, lol! Have fun trying to find the hidden cemetary too!

This is a big place! It is split up by Highway 94, and Google has the east part listed as Weldon Spring Hollow Conservation Area. In this part of the area, we found a parking lot near the Katy Trail with a stop-off and restrooms for bicyclists. Also there is a boat ramp to access the Missouri River, and you can access the Hamburg Trail as well. It wasn't clear from the map on their website that Highway 94 runs through the middle of the park, but we stopped off at the Visitors Center at Busch Wildlife Area and found a better map there.

Serious, safe and lots of fun. Any place handling firearms must be safe. The range masters are good with informing all of the rules and procedures. Check in and wait time was minimal and orderly. Starting at $4 for the first hour and there after is a great bargain. Earplugs and eye safety is provided if needed. Get your guns sighted early to avoid the rush. Target shown was brought along. They do provide basic paper targets.
