Tremendous views from this lake centered in the Fagaras Mountains. The climb is worth it. We were sleeping there in a tent for one night and really enjoyed it. It is definitely a nice experience. It can get very windy at night.

Tremendous views from this lake centered in the Fagaras Mountains. The climb is worth it. We were sleeping there in a tent for one night and really enjoyed it. It is definitely a nice experience. It can get very windy at night.

Fagaras Mountains are gorgeus❤️🏞️⛰️ We started from Poiana Neamtului, we walked 2 hours through a beautiful forest to Cabana Barcaciu with the help of the red cross. From Barcaciu we walked with the help of the blue mark until Lake Avrig. The way up to the Lake was very hard, there is a lot to climb to the Lake, a little steep in places but the view is gorgeous. We made this climb in about 3 hours. I would not recommend this hike...

Un loc superb. Noi am plecat de la Poiana Neamțului (traseu cruce roșie) la Cabana Bârcaciu și de aici (pe traseu punct albastru) până la Lacul Avrig. Într-adevăr nu este un traseu pentru oricine, însă nu pot spune că a fost chiar foarte dificil (am avut un timp total de 8h și 50min, tot traseul dus-întors). Recomand tuturor zona aceasta însă, preferabil, de făcut în 2 zile traseul, altfel va fi destul...
