Mănăstirea Borșa Pietroasa — Attraction in Borșa

The monastery had a celebration going when we arrived and they had baked goods and cabbage rolls (sarmala’s) with locally bred fish, I think - and the nuns were sweet enough to sample us a little bit of their feast :) the food was delicious, the monastery had a well maintained architecture (in the local rustic style) and the surrounding place itself...

At the end of a steep road you will find this place, where is nothing else than silence. Just spend an hour there listening to nothing else than bird singing, cow bells, maybe wind, visit the church and forget about everything else....

The access road from the city although narrow but in excellent condition , there's plenty of parking in front of the place , the place itself is magnificent and has a special aura surrounding it , so peaceful ,...
